Chapter 32 "My stomach has not been feeling well recently. Let’s get something light instead.” Trevor rejected Crystal’s suggestion with a cold expression.

A lrace of sorrow swept through Crystal’s eyes.

She loved eating Western meals like steaks, and so did he.

The fact that they were extremely well-matched in terms of their preferences in food was something she used to be very proud of.

Nevertheless, she tried to convince herself that he might actually be suffering from an upset stomach recently.

Putting on a concerned expression, she asked, "Is your stomach upset again?” He grunted in response while walking.

His stomach had been in poor condition throughout the past whole year.

Throughout his marriage with Emma, Emma would carefully prepare all three meals a day for him.

At the time, she claimed that stomach issues should be stowly managed through a proper diet.

He had not believed her, but reality had taught him the truth during the past year after their divorce.

Without a healthy and reasonable diet, his stomach problems seemed to come whenever they pleased.

Crystal sighed and said, "I told you that you should stop drinking coffee.

You should drink less and smoke less too.

But, you never listen to me." The very menuion of coffee made her gnash her teeth.

She knew that Emma used to brew a cup of pour-over coffee for him every morning.

After his divorce, she had tried to learn the art of coffee brewing for him.

Believing that her skills were pretty good, she tried brewing coffee for him on several occasions.

However, he only took a sip before he stopped drinking the entire cup altogether.

Those incidents had enraged her so much that she nearly made herself sick.

Thus, she later decided to stop making herself so emotionally exhausted and simply tried to persuade him to stop drinking coffeeby using his stomach issues as an excuse.

Only by quitting coffee could he be purged of all the bad habits that he picked up from Emma.

He did not react to her complaint, which was equivalent to an indirect indication that he would not quitdrinking coffee.

After the two of them got into the car, Trevor drove Crystal back to her residence.
