Brad didn’t respond to her. He sat motionless on the floor with his long legs sprawled out before him. Despite his disheveled state, he exuded an air of effortless grace.

Furrowing his brows tightly, he ignored Nadine. He sat on the cold marble floor with a pale face.

As a medical professional, saving lives was Nadine’s calling. Worried that Brad had been sitting on the floor for a long time, she decided to see if he was alright.

“Brad, are you alright? Let me have a look!” 

Love wasn’t like a faucet. One couldn’t just turn it off and expect the feeling to go away.
