Please Let Me Go novel Chapter 108

"Master Antonio, my grandson is critically ill. I was so worried about him so I forgot it!" While saying, Damla seemed to recall those difficult sleepless nights, tears falling.

It was not an excuse. The pot of soup that she left was obviously deliberate. Antonio couldn't speak for her. He glanced at the woman beside him, who had already flushed. It was obvious that she was so angry.

Adelaide was irritated by the nonsense that Damla made up. Everything Adelaide did was reasonable. Why did Damla look like that she had been wronged so much?

"Master Antonio, you had a high fever when you were seven years old. There was lightning and thunder that night, and it was raining heavily. It was me who sent you to the hospital in the rain. After you got better, I fell ill!"

"And when you were eight years old, you were beaten by gangsters at the school gate. It was me who desperately protected you!"

She said those past events with crying. Feeling so wronged, she directly sat on the ground, crying loudly. The scene was so embarrassing. But Damla didn’t feel any embarrassed. She kept saying more past events, which she sacrificed for Antonio.

How could someone like Antonio allow others to threaten him? No matter who the person was, he didn’t allow anyone threatening him!

Sticking to the matter being discussed was Antonio's consistent attitude and behavioral rules. Now, Antonio felt a little annoyed with Damla at this moment. He pursed his lips and his face darkened.

Damla still didn't realize that Antonio was a little unhappy. She kept talking and talking.

"Enough! Your caring for me for more than 20 years writes off the money you owe me!" In what mood did he say these words out? Adelaide held his hand, feeling distressed. She hoped that she could send some warmth to Antonio.

"That’s great! This is Master Antonio who I brought up!" After saying that, she raised her head triumphantly and looked at Adelaide contemptuously, not knowing that Antonio had already been so disappointed with her.

Adelaide said to Damla with gloomy face, "You go out first."

Antonio looked down at his watch. It was not too late right now!

He had a lot of work to deal with. Last night, he and Adelaide had discussed that they just needed to teach Damla a lesson. Besides, they didn’t plan to let Damla pay back the money. After all, Damla had taken care of Antonio for many years.

But they didn’t expect this result. Antonio said in a deep voice, "I'm leaving too!"

After speaking, he left home.

Seeing Antonio leaving, Adelaide felt a sense of anxiety. Although Antonio didn't say anything, Adelaide knew the relationship between Damla and Antonio was gone, though Damla didn’t have to sell the house to pay back after she made such a scene.

Maybe Antonio complained that she pressed Damla too hard right? Adelaide thought to herself.

Adelaide sat in a chair and kept telling herself that she had done nothing wrong. As a nanny, Damla left a pot of fish soup which stunk to demonstrate to Adelaide on purpose. She was just responding to Damla's move.

But her mind was in a mess. She couldn’t figure it out. In fact, she wanted to build her own prestige at home through this incident. But when she really built her prestige, there was like a huge stone in her mind, making her feel uncomfortable.

She was confused and didn’t know what to do.

Just as she was at a loss, a woman she didn't want to see, or she didn't dare to see, walked in aggressively.
