Although birthday parties were held to entertain people, Adelaide knew well that Antonio wouldn't play guitar in public. After all, Antonio was the boss of a listed company. He would definitely think it inappropriate for him to do so.
Jerry snapped his finger with a confident expression, "It all depends on human effort. I promise that Antonio would play guitar in public if you go to the party with me."
Looking at his expression, Adelaide felt that he wasn't lying. Therefore, she nodded slowly, agreeing to go to Antonio's birthday party with him.
She really wanted to see what Antonio would be like when he played guitar. Maybe he would look very charming, Adelaide thought.
J City was particularly beautiful at night. Sitting on the back seat of Jerry's car and looking at cars and lights outside the window, Adelaide thought of something.
She had long not paid attention to scenery around her. Now, she found it wonderful after suddenly looking at it carefully.
When she was thinking, Jerry stopped the car. Adelaide pushed these thoughts away and looked straight. Although she just watched through the window, she knew that the hotel, which was not far from her, was luxurious.
"Isn't the party held in South Wind Hotel this year?" Adelaide still remembered how bustling it was when Antonio held his birthday party in South Wind Hotel last year.
Jerry answered while he unfastened his seat belt, "Yes. This hotel belongs to the Swan Group. Recently, there are some cooperation between the Baron Group and the Swan Group. Therefore, Antonio choose to hold his birthday party here, giving some benefit to the Swan Group."
It took Antonio a tremendous amount of money to hold his birthday party. The money Antonio spent tonight was probably more than two months' net profit of this hotel. It could be said to be a valuable gift.
After entering the hotel, Adelaide was shocked by the luxury hotel even though she had already been psychologically prepared.
A huge amethyst lamp was suspended from the ceiling of the hotel, giving out a bright and somewhat charming light. The columns were so enormous that it would take several people to encircle one by joining hands.
Tables covered with white tablecloth were put together, forming a variety of shapes. There was a large empty space in the wall of the hotel. The wall on one side of the empty space was paved with marble; and glasses separated the space in the wall from the hall.
In the empty space, there were green pine trees and white snow.
Adelaide was surprised. Although she was also from a famous family, it was the first time that she had seen such a decoration style in a hotel.
In the center of the hotel was a round stage. Under the bright lights of crystal lamps, the stage looked especially nice. Through the interspace of the crowd, Adelaide saw Antonio who was standing in the brightest spot.
She dropped her eyes, fearing that Antonio would suddenly turn around and then saw her through the interspace of the crowd.
However, she was overanxious. Antonio didn't see her. He stood in the center of the stage and continued his speech.
Jerry pulled Adelaide and took her to a corner, "Do you want Antonio to see you?"
Adelaide shook her head decisively.
Jerry nodded, "Well, let's eat some food here first. After Antonio finishs his speech, I'll go to him and send him the guitar. Then, I would ask him to play a song. How about that?"
Originally, Antonio was walking straight. However, after hearing what she had said, he suddenly turned around and looked at her with cold eyes.
The woman still wanted to say something, but stopped herself from doing so after Antonio looked at her like that.
She even somewhat panicked because she felt that Antonio was going to do something to the detriment of her.
People around were also frightened by the sudden cold expression in Antonio's eyes. Suddenly, people around quieted down abruptly.
Just when everyone thought that Antonio was about to do something, there was suddenly a tumult in the crowd. A moment later, Jerry appeared in front of Antonio, "Antonio, this is the present from Adelaide."
As he spoke, Jerry shook the guitar in his hand, "She knew that you like playing guitar, so she specially send you one on your birthday. How about that? Do you like it? Are you moved?" Jerry put the guitar into Antonio's arms as he said playfully.
Antonio looked at the guitar with gentle eyes and the cold expression in his eyes completely disappeared in an instant. However, no one had seen this because he lowered his head.
"Adelaide also said that she wants very much to listen to a song played by you." Jerry added.
Antonio touched the guitar with one hand and asked in a light voice, "Is she here?"
"Er, no. However, you can play a song now. It's not bad if I record a video for her." Jerry said with a smile.
