Please Let Me Go novel Chapter 6

In the Baron family house, Adelaide was in a daze for a long time.

“Bang!”

Suddenly, her reverie was broken by a sudden intrusion of someone from the outside.

To her surprise, Antonio had returned. His face was a sight of terror and a solemn expression was hanging on his face. His presence alone intimidated her a lot.

“…” Adelaide subconsciously shrunk back as she placed her hand defensively on her belly.

“Did you have a good rest here?”

Antonio let out a snort, and in an instant Adelaide felt her whole frame freeze.

“What do you want?”

Knowing that Antonio wouldn’t let her off the hook that easily, she watched him inching towards her slowly, and her heart almost jumped out of her ribcage. Despite that, because she had just fainted not long ago, there was not an ounce of energy left in her body. She could only watch him approached him without being able to do anything.

“Let you go?”

Antonio suddenly grabbed Adelaide’s wrist and bellowed, “You useless thing, how dare you fainted in the hospital just now? If it were not for the fact that Clarissa needs your blood, I should have destroyed you a long time ago!”

Antonio continued to ramble on ruthlessly, “You better hope that Clarissa’s impending baby is fine, otherwise, nothing you do would be able to repay your debt!”

“I—But…” Destroy her? Pay back her debt? Adelaide felt her heart fall to the bottom of an abyss. She was still wrapping her head around the fact that these exact words were actually spouted by Antonio.

“But, the child in my belly also belongs to you.” Adelaide muttered as she stared at her belly. She couldn’t understand why Antonio had chosen not to believe her. Was she that tiny and insignificant in his eyes?

“Mine?” Antonio laughed coldly, “Even if that child is mine too, who do you think that I would place more importance on? Between your child or Clarissa’s child.”

“You…”

Adelaide was on the brink of despair as her pupils contracted greatly. She met Antonio’s eyes and said vehemently, “You are really pushing me to the brink of death!”

Her words were like a sharp knife piercing Antonio’s heart. He felt something inside him tremble.
