Please Let Me Go novel Chapter 86

Clarissa clenched into fists tightly. Antonio’s every word was like a sharp sword to hurt her mercilessly.

"Adelaide, Adelaide!"

Clarissa murmured the name again and again. Every calling was full of her full hatred. She would definitely get back at Adelaide.

Antonio dared not go to the ward to see them. He originally wanted to tell Hanna what should be careful. But what happened just now made him too embarrassed to go in. After secretly watching inside at the door for a while, he felt so sleepy. Then he turned and left the ward.

Bruno drove steadily. Antonio felt like he had been asleep for a long time on the way from the hospital to home. He rubbed his sleepy eyes. He hadn't been home since the day of the accident. The slide for her child in the yard was just half done. Seeing it, Antonio pursed his lips. He felt sad, then he stepped forward to touch the steps of the slide, which was the light blue color chosen by Adelaide.

He choked with sobs. When he spoke, his voice was so hoarse, "Bruno, let the craftsman take it down tomorrow!"

It was not him who didn't want to take Adelaide home. The smell of disinfectant in the hospital made him feel sick. He was just worried that Adelaide’s condition would get worse after she went home and saw these stuff. When Adelaide was dying, he suddenly realized that the only person he loved was her. If she died, he might not live either.

He finally understood his real feelings, but it was too late. He didn't know how to make it up to Adelaide. His mind was blank.

Like a coward going to death, he walked forward timidly. Bruno had already told Damla in advance that Antonio was coming back, so Damla opened the door early.

Antonio stopped again. He stopped at the door and dared not step inside.

"Mr. Antonio, what's the matter with you?" Seeing that he hadn't come in yet, Damla couldn't help asking.

"Nothing". He shook his head but he was still not moving forward.

"Antonio! Guess how many days left until the child is born?" It was that day when the accident happened. On that day afternoon, when he just returned home, Adelaide rushed to hug him and asked him happily.

He smiled bitterly. What did Adelaide tell him at that time? He couldn't remember it. He just remembered that he was perfunctory at that time and asked her not to count the days. Now, in just a few days, his son was gone!

"Damla, throw all the stuff Adelaide bought for the baby..." After a pause, Antonio said as if reminding of something, "Sort them out and take them to the orphanage."

He did not believe in God nor did he believe in fate before. Now he just wanted to pray God, hoping that he could do good for his son who died young.

Damla was stunned and hesitated, "Mr. Antonio, send so many good stuff to the orphanage?" She hoped that Antonio would let herself choose some good stuff and give away the rest which were not needed. Although she didn't tell Antonio what she thought, according to his cleverness, he would definitely understand her meaning.
