Ashlynn’s breathing stopped. She felt as though her heart had stopped beating.

“I… I am not done yet.” Ashlynn tucked it into her clothes, and she then felt it unsafe. The pregnancy test was long and hard. It would be hard for her to flush that away.

“Are you waiting for me to kick the door open?”

“No, don’t… I will open up.” Ashlynn tried to throw the pregnancy test into the trash can, but she realized there was not a single piece of paper in the trash can, as the janitor had just cleaned it.

Corentin stood outside of the door, his amber–colored eyes looking at her. “What took you so long?”

Ashlynn walked out. “My stomach is a little unwell, now I am…” Before she could finish, she saw Corentin walking to the next cubicle, her heart skipped a beat, but she steadied herself and asked, “What are you doing?”

Corentin did not say anything, and his eyes scanned past everything.
