Chapter 1531
Those small pieces of broken glass seemed to be packed with lethality and could slit Anne’s throat.
The broken glass was spread out like a web, and it was impossible for Anne to dodge every single piece of them.
She simply grabbed them with her bare hand, held them in her palm, and then threw them at the assassin with force.
The assassin did not expect Anne to counterattack like that. While she was stunned, the broken glass that Anne threw stabbed her right in the neck.
Her eyes instantly widened, and she fell to the ground.
Anne felt relieved. She turned around and told the driver, “Let’s go to the hospital!”
Just as the driver was about to say something, he could not help but be stunned when his line of sight landed behind Anne.
Before he managed to warn her, Anne already reacted at the speed of light. She swiftly ducked aside, grabbed the assassin’s hand that was holding a gun, and used the broken glass in her other hand to slit the assassin’s throat.
Blood sprayed all over. The assassin was dead for good this time.
Anne looked at her shoes which were stained with blood, and she took a few steps back as she still could not get used to it. There was a kind of numbness on her face as she was at a loss.
“Mr. Marwood!” The driver called out when he saw the person who appeared on the other
side.
That made Anne regain her senses. At the same time, her face turned much paler.
When she turned around to look at the man standing not far away, which she had no clue about when he appeared, a guilty expression flashed across her face.
It was as if she had been caught doing something bad.
Anthony has seen the moment she killed a person, has he not?
Did he see a version of her that was different from the past?
How would he feel?
When she, who used to be pure, saw Anthony coming over with murderous air to him, she was very afraid…
“Are you hurt?” Anthony walked over, and his tall figure instantly enveloped her.
