Anne was slightly stunned.
She was eating her food, but she paused, lifted her head to look at him, and asked, "What do you mean? Why are you the one to resolve it?"
From what she could remember deep down, Anthony was not a kind person, to begin with. He was vicious and always disregarded others, much less if this person was Lucas.
Therefore, she could not be blamed for having a persecutory delusion.
The lines on Anthony's face were slightly tensed up and his voice was deep and husky as she said, "No need to worry. It's things that are beneficial to him."
He held back the gaze of his black eyes, so she could not tell his emotions.
Anne asked, "Are you suspecting me? Lucas and I are not what you think. I only feel guilty toward him…"
'And all of these are caused by you.'
"There's no need for you to have any sympathy for him. Just as you're thinking, I'm the one who caused it, so I should be the one to resolve it."
"How do you want to resolve it?" asked Anne. She then put her cutlery down as she had already lost her appetite. "Make him disappear in Luton?"
Anthony stared at her quietly with his black eyes and said nothing.
Anne asked him in disappointment, "Anthony, is it still not enough for you to have me? We're a married couple!"
Was it still not enough for him to have her? This sentence meant that as long as she was willing to stay by his side, no other men would be a threat to him.
However, what Anthony heard was that he already got her body, so there was no need for him to be too greedy for other things.
"What I want...is so much more." Anthony looked straight at her, and his gaze appeared to be sharp. "You've always known it. Even if I have changed all those bad behaviors, the habit of possessing you can't be changed."
"So? Do you want to go back to the past?" Anne asked him in return. Her expression has already turned cold as well. "Don't make me feel that agreeing to stay by your side is a mistake. I'm full. I'll first take my leave."
Anthony suddenly clenched his hand that was holding the spoon tighter. It was as if he wanted to capture the person who had fled his side.
He immediately stood up, grabbed Anne's hand to pull her back, and pressed her against his chest. Anne bumped into him so hard that her chest trembled a little.
While in shock, she met Anthony's black eyes.
It was inevitable for her to feel nervous. After all, she did not truly want to lay her hand on Anthony, and she, even more so, did not wish for Anthony to lay his hand on her…
