Instead of hurrying upstairs, she sat by the garden facing toward the stairs, it was covered by bushes and was perfect for her to stay hidden.

If anything should happen, she would be able to spot it right away.

The sky was slowly turning dark and she saw the nanny heading out to pick the children up. Shortly after, the triplets appeared and went up the stairs.

Anne had only dared to look out for a bit, she was concerned that her children would see how she was sneaking around.

Shortly after the triplets had returned home, two cars drove into the area and a huge crowd darted toward the stairway.

Anne was absolutely terrified by how the sight resembled a zombie apocalypse. Luckily, she was not at home, or she would be in a dangerous position if she was stuck inside.

Anne turned and left the area swiftly, before calling the nanny to explain the situation.

"When will you come back? Should I call Mr. Newman?" The nanny asked worriedly.

"It's fine, I can handle this. You stay on the six floor anyway, so the fans and reporters won't bother you or the kids," Anne reassured her.

"Okay."

Another call came in immediately after she ended the call with the nanny.

She glanced at it and answered, "Mr. Newman."

"Where are you? I will go get you now.”

Anne knew that he must have seen what was on the internet. " Don't. Don't come here. The fans and reporters are all at my apartment and I've already left the area. They didn't see me. Don't come!"

She did not want to get Lucas involved after what had happened to the Pinnacle Academy.

"No one would see me if you've already left the area. Don't be concerned for me and just give me the address."

"Seriously, I'm fine. Don't worry about me. 1...I anl going to go to my mom's place."

"Alright, then. Let me know when you arrive safely."

Anne stood by the road dazedly after the call.

She had lied about going to Sarah, because she did not want to drag Sarah into this mess either.

Seeing that Sarah had not contacted her, it meant that she was still playing poker and had not seen what was on the internet, so she would not find out unless someone informed her about it.

Going to the office was an even worse option, as all her colleagues would have known by now.

Her phone rang once again and she glanced down to find Tommy’s name on the screen.

She ignored the call, refusing Tommy's hypocrisy.

She proceeded to glance through all the comments and live feeds to find that the fans and reporters had swarmed the corridor outside her apartment.
