Chapter 619
Anthony got up, walked to the couch in the living room, picked up his jacket, and put it on.
His tall and slender figure has a terrorizing aura and a strong sense of oppression.
He turned his body to the side slightly and his line of sight was staring at Anne, who was in front of the table.
Anne was just about to take a bite of the poached egg when she felt a sense of pressure closing in on her from behind and her spine subconsciously stiffened.
Anthony leaned down slightly from behind her. He put one hand on the edge of the table to support himself, enveloped Anne in his arms, and used his other hand to lift her jaw up. He then lowered his thin lips and kissed her lips.
Anthony frowned. “Isn’t it too sweet?”
Anne was slightly panting. “…You’re only realizing it now? You’ve poured half a bag of sugar into it, haven’t you?”
It was rare that Anthony was not confident because he indeed has done so.
“It’s fine. I’ll pour some water in later,” said Anne as she looked at the black deep–set eyes above her that did not look away.
“Wait here for my return,” upon saying that, Anthony released her, turned around, and left. Shortly after the door could be heard closing, the entire space fell completely silent.
Anne looked at the poached egg in the bowl, got up, went to the kitchen to pour the sugar water away, got herself a brand new cup of water, and added a little bit of sugar.
After she finished the egg, Anne took out the phone, which she bought herself, from her bag and went to the balcony to make a call. She was calling her mother.
“Anne, where are you now? Tell me, are you together with Anthony?” Sarah inquired.
“Mm–hmm.”
“So it’s really true. No wonder Dorothy came over to cause a scene like a crazy person.” “She went to look for you? She didn’t do anything to you, right?” Anne was nervous.
“No. She came here alone. There were two people here on my side. Even if we were to get into a fight, would I be at a disadvantage? She ran off with her face covered in dejection.” Sarah was feeling smug. “Anne, whatever you do, I’ll support you, so just do it without any worries!”
Anne knew that her mother certainly also knew about the matter of getting a marriage certificate, so she did not deny her mother’s words.
“Are Anthony and Bianca still going to get a marriage certificate together? You have to think of a way to get rid of this idea in his head. You absolutely can’t let the two of them get their marriage certificate,” Sarah told her over the phone.
