Chapter 727
Anne started to waver because of what her mother said.
Her mother was right. Why should her father be kicked out of the family and suffer so much?
What exactly was the matter that made his father avoid talking about his family and would rather say that he was an orphan?
“I feel that the appearance of this person was too strange,” said Anne.
“Why? You’ve said so yourself. It’s because something has happened to your father that his family would value him. This is very normal.”
“Corentin said himself that he doesn’t remember anything when Dad left the family, so would he have any affection for him? He actually came alone to see Dad. Is it truly like that?”
“He might not have much affection for your father. Didn’t he say that his father did not allow anybody in the family to mention your father? A person will be curious about things and people that he has never seen before!”
Anne did not say anything. This reason made sense as well.
No matter what, he was his family.
For some reason, Anne thought of herself and Bianca.
At the bottom of it all, she and Bianca were sisters and their relationships were unusually poor. They would be extraordinarily infuriated when they saw each other as if they were enemies.
However, perhaps she could approach the Lloyd family to see what happened between them and her father.
Also, if Corentin has really come to visit his family or he has come bearing ill intent. 1
As soon as she got out of the car, the phone in her bag rang.
Anne glanced at the incoming call and she really wanted to pretend that she did not hear the call.
“Is it Anthony calling?” Sarah figured out who it was just by looking at her daughter’s expression.
“I’ll first be returning to my room. You should go to bed earlier, Mom.”
Sarah muttered, “What do you have to say that you need to do so behind my back…”
When Anne returned to the room, the incoming call on her phone had already stopped.
Anne returned the call. As soon as the call was picked up, Anthony’s threatening and ghastly voice could be heard coming from the other end of the call. “Do you wish for me to barge in?”
“Don’t. I have just gotten into the room and I didn’t hear my phone ringing,” Anne explained.
“Come out.”
“What?” Anne was slightly stunned and she looked toward the direction of the balcony.” You’re here?”
