How could Anthony be satisfied with that brief peck? Hę turned from being passive to taking charge and his thin lips were almost going to press against hers.

Before their lips touched, he heard someone clawing at the door…

“Papa, Mama! Are you awake? The sun is already up!”

“We want to enter!”

“We brought breakfast!”

It was after Anne was held and kissed a bunch that she managed to get off Anthony’s lap. Her face was completely flushed.

Anthony got off the bed, glanced at her deeply with his black eyes, and he went to open the door.

Once he opened the door, he saw the triplets standing outside the door with their little heads lifted and little mouths wide open like baby birds waiting to be fed.

Chris, especially, was holding a plate with breakfast on it in his hands.

One serving was, of course, not enough, so the rest of the food was on the plate carried by the maid behind him.

Mia kept her head lowered and she did not dare to look at the man in the room.

“Papa, we brought food for you and Mama!” said Chloe.

“Come in.” Anthony gave them the green light.

The triplets immediately ran in happily.

Chris brought the plate in his hand to her. “Mama, have a bite!”

Anne felt a warm and fuzzy feeling. She then accepted the plate. “Thank you, but first I have to brush my teeth and wash my face.”

“Mm–hmm. We’ll wait for you to have breakfast together!

After she washed up, the two adults and the three children had breakfast together at the table in the living room outside the bedroom.

Anne saw the triplets wolfing down their food. She

figured they were probably hungry, so she said, “Don’t wait for your father and me next time, and first have breakfast on your own. Got it?”

She did not expect that Anthony and herself would wake up so late.

To be more precise, she did not expect that Anthony would only wake up at nine in the morning as well.

He usually would have woken up around six or seven in the morning!
