In the end, Zayne couldn’t help but say, “…Zivon would truly benefit from someone as caring and considerate as you by his side… Just keep it up and I’m sure he’ll finally be moved by your sincerity one day!”
Blushing subtly, Sophia replied, “I appreciate your kind words, Young Master Xenos, but I’d rather not think about that just yet… As you two know, he hates mixing up his work and his feelings, and given how long I’ve been lying about my feelings to him…”
“Oh, I wouldn’t worry about that. After all, the fact that he’s still allowing you to work with him symbolizes how special you are to that man. Don’t overthink it, President Harrison. Now that you have his mother’s and our support, all you have to do is keep trying to have a good chance of marrying him!”
Smiling subtly, Sophia then remained silent for a moment before ultimately saying, “Well, you two should head back first. Don’t worry, I’ll take good care of Young Master Burton.”
“Will do. Remember to call us if you need any help,” replied Zayne, prompting the duo to leave…
Now that the villa was all quiet again, Sophia sat by the bedside, gently wiping Zivon’s forehead and hands with the cloth she had brought in… Once she was done, she tucked him in and remained by his side for the rest of the night…
Fast forward to the next morning, Zivon awoke with a terrible headache… and upon sitting up, he was understandably startled to see Sophia lying beside him.
“…What are you doing here?” asked the icy man in a monotonous tone.
Realizing that he was awake, Sophia quickly explained, “Mr. Saltman and Young Master Xenos sent you back last night, and with how drunk you were, I was worried that something bad would happen to you if I left you alone. I had intended to stay awake by your side the entire night, but I guess I must have dozed off… Either way, how are you feeling?”
Upon hearing that, Zivon was instantly reminded of why he had drunk so much in the first place. With his expression now colder than ever, he was prompted to reply, “…I’m fine. Head back to your room and get some rest.”
