That night, Xavia ended up tossing and turning in bed for hours, her mind filled with all the times she had misunderstood him out of jealousy and trivial matters… She also kept reminding herself that Zivon had only been with Fiona because of her brother, and that she had even ignored and angered him after he took the time and effort to ride a public bike over… She really needed to make some changes if she truly wanted their relationship to work…
Eventually, she managed to get some sleep, and she was so exhausted by that point that she only woke up again at six the following evening. Even then, however, she was still too afraid to meet up with him…
Zivon himself was currently looking all gloomy as he waited on a bench at a certain company… He hadn’t slept a wink since he left the palace, and he was constantly barraged with thoughts about the previous night. Though it was true that he believed that he had already given her enough leeway to explain herself, the fact remained that he shouldn’t have been that egotistical.
After all, if she truly had any feelings for Mark, then he had pretty much sealed his fate last night! It didn’t help that she had yet to even send him a text or even call him! His train of thought was cut short when he heard someone ask, “Mr. Z, I presume?”
Looking up, Zivon was greeted by the sight of a gorgeous and confident-looking woman who had a suit on… Figuring that she was the manager, he got up and replied, “Indeed. Has your company discussed my blueprints?”
She didn’t immediately respond, opting instead to scan him from head to toe… Though he only had a cheap suit on, his proportions were excellent, and he was tall enough too… Eventually, she was prompted to say, “…It was up to our standards. Why don’t you come to my office so that we can discuss more?”
Thinking that she wanted to discuss the payment, he simply slipped his phone away before following her into her office… Just as he had drunk a glass of water that she had provided him with, the woman suddenly placed a hand on his shoulder and said, “You’re a college graduate, right? And you’re looking for an internship…?”
