Following a sneer, she grabbed her clothes, walked up to the door and added, “Don’t worry, I’ll be on a business trip from tomorrow onward, and I’ll only return between half a month and half a year! Feel free to pretend that you don’t have a wife during my absence!”

Watching as she slammed the door behind her, Mark couldn’t help but feel simultaneously angry and humiliated. Before Mark could reply, Matthew noticed how ragged Mark looked. This prompted him to add, “…Huh. Guess someone finally lost his virginity, huh? And here I was, thinking that you’d be too depressed to even get out of bed… Looks like I was wrong!”

Glaring at him Mark growled, “…One more word and I’ll sew your lips shut.”

Gulping slightly, Matthew replied, “L-lighten up! Jokes aside… I had planned to try convincing you not to give up on Xavia so easily, but now that things have come to this… I don’t know, don’t you think you’re going to suffer? Especially now that you’ve had sex with her… You no longer have a way out…”

This prompted Mark to purse his lips. As if he didn’t already know that! With Stella now off on her business trip, all the defeated man could do was rub his temples before returning to his room…
