With how flabbergasted she looked, Zivon was prompted to add, “Look, a woman can only continue to bloom throughout her lifetime if she is given sufficient love. Basically, I don’t want you to feel alienated or saddened because I don’t give you enough attention. I want to keep our love fresh, so that you’ll forever remain my happy woman…”
…What was she even supposed to say to that? On one hand, she really wanted to refute, but on the other, she simply couldn’t find the proper words! Bah, so be it!
Following that conversation, they stayed at the bookshop till noon… And once lunchtime came around, Zivon was quick to take Xavia home to make her some food. Once more, he made three nourishing dishes and a soup, and since both meat and vegetables were used, it truly was a well-balanced meal.
“Go take a nap after you’re done eating. I’ll be heading off to deal with my work now, but if you feel the need to go out at night, just say the word and I’ll take you somewhere,” said Zivon, prompting Xavia to nod as she silently nibbled on her food.
Despite how quiet she was, her heart was actually racing. After all, Zivon’s continuous display of gentleness and maturity was finally starting to get to her! Unsure of what to even feel, she made sure to bolt back into her room the second she was done eating…
However, it wasn’t long after she dozed off when her phone suddenly began ringing… It was a message from Dolly.
‘Xavia? Could you come keep me company for a bit? I know you don’t remember me yet, but we’re best friends, and I really don’t know who else to talk to about this…’
Upon reading that, Xavia couldn’t help but frown. Her name did seem rather familiar, and she didn’t seem like she was lying… That aside, what was up with her? This sounded serious…
