So what if Zivon was suspicious of her and acted out? No matter what he did, Xavia had still gotten together with Mark, and that was a fact. He didn't care if he was lying to himself or if their relationship was on the verge of falling apart.
Now, he just wanted her to be by his side.
He said, “There’s no point in bringing up the upsetting topics. I told you that as long as you stay by my side, we can start over everything from scratch. So, don’t betray me again, hm?”
Xavia was stunned. She vaguely understood what was going on. He hadn't figured things out, nor was he being magnanimous. He was simply choosing to be this way to keep her instead of losing her again.
With that attitude, what was she supposed to do?
She had never betrayed him, so there would never be a next time. But... Would he believe her if she told him? If she didn't tell him, would he continue to keep her while filled with suspicion and doubt as he deceived himself?
What should she do?
It was a complicated situation, and Xavia felt powerless. She resolved to ask her group of friends what she should do later.
When Zivon went into the bathroom, she took her phone and was about to call them when a cold voice suddenly said, “Who are you calling?”
Xavia was frightened, turning around to see Zivon looking at her. She stammered, “I-I just wanted to talk to Bianca and Dolly to tell them I’m fine. They were worried about me for the past two days.”
Zivon’s gaze darkened, and he said, “Call them here. Don't leave my sight.”
Xavia was speechless. Was he placing her under house arrest? Was she not allowed to leave his sight even for a moment?
That was too difficult!
