Chapter 12 

“Mom, no!” 

Ignoring everything else, Elisa immediately ran to the ward. 

Beatrice’s face was covered in tears. 

This morning, she gradually regained consciousness, eager to see Elisa as soon as possible. She knew Elisa would be thrilled to know she had woken up. Suddenly, she saw the news on TV and learned about everything her beloved daughter had endured to save her. 

She didn’t expect to burden her most beloved daughter like this! If she had known, she would have ended her life when she found out she had such a disease. She would never have burdened her daughter. 

All she wanted was to see her daughter again…… Just once. 

Elisa went up to the ward and there were already many staff members guarding here. 

However, she didn’t dare to provoke her mother’s emotions and didn’t dare to go any further. 

Elisa looked at her mother’s back, it was so thin that even a smaller hospital gown looked big on her. 

Her mother was just a few steps away from her, as if in the next second, she would be separated from her forever, and her heart hurt so much that she couldn’t breathe.

She walked to her mother’s bedside, picked up the fruit knife from the table, and aimed it at her own neck. 

The police were horrified by Elisa’s actions, their faces turning pale. Why would this girl hold a knife to herself? Now, two women were attempting suicide! 

“Mom?” She said softly, her voice trembling and tearful, and Beatrice immediately turned her head when heard her daughter’s voice, seeing Elisa holding the knife to herself, as if the sharp blade would pierce her neck in the next second, her pupils contracted. 

“Put the knife down,Elisa!” She shouted at Elisa, using all her strength. 

“Mom, why do you want to leave me? Are you giving up on me too? Where are you going? I’ll stay with you, okay? Don’t leave me alone, okay?“Elisa pleaded softly, tears uncontrollably falling. 

“Elisa, I promise, mommy isn’t going anywhere! Mommy will come down now! Don’t move!” Beatrice was emotionless, and all she wanted was to protect her daughter. 

She couldn’t let her daughter get hurt! 

A team member immediately rushed forward and pulled Beatrice back. 

“Save my daughter! Save my daughter!” Beatrice took the team member’s hand and pleaded loudly. 

Charles quickly stepped forward and grabbed the fruit knife from Elisa’s hand, and even he, who had been,

Beatrice sat beside the bed and looked at her beloved daughter with aching heart. 

Tears falling disappointingly. 

It’s all because of her! 

Elisa had just married a vegetable! 

Elisa walked up to her mother and hugged her. 

“Mom, stop crying, are you trying to kill me?” 

“It’s you who wants to hurt mommy to death!” Beatrice hugged her daughter tightly. 

Elisa, don’t treat my illness anymore, just divorce that vegetable. I don’t want you to make this choice for me! Suelen, that wicked woman deliberately hurt you! How could you trust her so much to let her push you into the fire! She wouldn’t give you a penny! I didn’t even know you begged Jorge, how could you beg him so humbly? Mommy would rather die than let you beg him!” 

Elisa just patted her mother’s back gently. 

She made no sound as she wanted her mother to vent her emotions. 

She suppressed all her hatred, afraid of agitating her mother again, but she would never let Suelen escape! 

Beatrice finally calmed down, and Elisa took her mother’s hand and explained softly. 

“Mom, even though Robert is unconscious now, he will definitely wake up.” 

“Don’t try to comfort me, Elisa, I know I’m the reason you got into this.” 

“No, it’s not that. The Fischer family treats me very well, and I don’t think it’s bad to marry into such a family,”
