“Don’t worry about me. I’ll just grab my things. Since I’ll be staying upstairs, it’s not good to leave them here cluttering Robert’s room.” Elsa quickly replied, then turned to pack her belongings. 

“Hey! When the newlyweds are separating, it’s not a good sign. It could affect their relationship. It’s best for the couple to always sleep together!” 

Elisa felt a bit embarrassed when she heard the doctor’s words. 

Robert and Elisa are husband and wife, yet no love exists between them. Like Mr. Fischer said, whether they slept together or not, there was no difference. 

Now she managed to get a job that paid around six thousand dollars a day, and with that, she could save up for when Robert woke up and left for good. 

But now, thinking of her grandfather’s joy upon learning she might be pregnant, Elisa felt guilty. She didn’t want to disappoint the Fisher family. 

So, she decided to give it another try. 

Just as she was about to speak, she suddenly felt a sharp pain where she had been injured yesterday. 

Elisa hissed in pain and thought that carrying on the family line for Robert should wait until she was healed. 

So, Elisa smiled at Dr. Smith and walked out of Robert’s room. 

As soon as she returned to her room, she would start recording. For her, nothing was way more important right now than making money. 

After packing her things, Elisa simply informed them that she was leaving first, and the doctor just smiled and nodded. 

When Elisa entered, Robert felt much more comfortable. The effect was even better when she spoke a few words than when he listened to the ten–minute recording. 

Instantly, he was certain that Elisa’s voice could cure his headache, However, he was stubborn and preferred to hide it. He only needed the streamer unless something happened, and he had no other choice because he would never choose Elisa.

gone, Robert,” Smith said to the man pretending to be asleep after Elisa left. 

Robert slowly opened his eyes. “Good, now I finally don’t have to endure her torment.” 

“So, are you ready to wake up?”

As soon as Elisa returned to the room and set up all the recording equipment, and since there were no content restrictions, she randomly found some lines that she usually dubs.

Jorge called Richard early in the morning. However, his secretary answered, saying her boss would call back soon. But Jorge waited for hours, and there was no call. 

He was ready to pay a visit, but the guard stopped him at the gate. 

This was very strange, he didn’t understand why Richard’s attitude towards him had changed so drastically, 

By the time he got home, he was feeling very anxious. 

The news of Suelen being taken away by the police hadn’t been disclosed to the media yet, but it was only a matter of time.

“Dad, my mom has been taken for so long. Why haven’t they released her yet? Don’t they care about her identity and status?” Olivia spoke, crying, while her eyes already turned red.

As he approached the door, ready to knock, he noticed it was slightly ajar and heard two people talking inside. It was Sandro and Richard. 

“Jorge Barson called me again. Chief. Are you really not going to help him?” Sandro asked respectfully. Richard took a sip of coffee from his desk. 

“Help him? How can I help him? He has crossed someone he shouldn’t have, Richard replied.. 

“Someone Jorge Barson shouldn’t have crossed? Who could that be?” Sandro inquired. 

Jorge strained to hear more, but the voices inside the office gradually lowered. Not wanting to attract unnecessary attention as a staff member approached, Jorge quickly left. 

As he got into his car, he kept thinking about the conversation he had overheard. Richard said he had crossed someone he shouldn’t have.
