She was already on her guard. Hearing Wayne’s footsteps, she shunned quickly and showed her rebellion. “Don’t touch me! Stay away from me!”
Sherry was shocked. She didn’t know what was going on. Who’s that guy? What’s the relationship between them?
Sherry winked at Jeffrey, expecting him to tell her something. But Jeffrey shook his head as well.
“Seems like they got something to deal with. What about letting her solve alone and we go wait aside?” Sherry suggested.
“Okay, it makes sense.”
Wayne got furious by Hedy’s rebuke. But facing her sexy body, he put on a fake smile, “Hedy, how are you these years?”
“I’ve been missing you all the time.”
His fakeness made her sick again. Being too sick to eat anything, all she wanted to do was staying away from the him.
Sherry quickly grabbed Jeffrey and ran to Hedy, “Hedy seems to be leaving!”
While passing by that asshole, Sherry scolded, “Bastard!”
Wayne stared at Hedy glazily, he couldn’t even fight back. Now she looked like an exotic princess with beautiful long neck sitting in the car.
Hedy quickly drove away angrily, leaving him feeling that he couldn’t be reconciled that he hadn’t made her stay 5 years ago.
After a while, Sherry couldn’t help asking, “Hedy, who was that guy?”
“My ex-husband.”
She said bluntly. Obviously she wasn’t in a mood.
Sherry denounced at once, “The moment I saw his ugly face, I knew he was not a good guy. Don’y you see his face when he was looking at your body? Such an ass!”
A sneer crossed Hedy’s face.
She learned exactly what kind of man Wayne was five years ago.
But she didn’t expect him to be more despicable now.
“What is past is past. Don’t be sad for that kind of man. Get yourself up!”
“Leaving him is the best choice you’ve ever made.” Sherry comforted.
Hedy permitted herself a wry smile. She began thinking of that handsome cool face of Victor.
Thanks to Victor’s fancy car, she did not feel too humiliated.
But it’s a pity that he wanted to fight for the custody of their son with her.
Then she drove them to another mall for lunch.
Hedy was down because of Wayne. She felt so hard to focus on the work that the completion of the gown was far from meeting expectation.
“Hedy, let’s leave it to tomorrow.” Sherry felt sleepy.
Hedy frowned, putting on a concerning face, “You could go home now. I got to check for some time.”
Jeffrey said, “It’s okay, I could stay here with you.”
