“We’ve arrived. We are now looking for a place to park. Don’t worry about us. Get ready for your concert later.”
“Hayden, there’s an empty place!” Benjamin stopped Hayden.
“Where?”
Hayden quickly drove in the direction where Benjamin pointed, “Freddie, I’ll talk to you later. I’ll call your assistant after parking the car.”
“Alright,” Freddie replied.
After parking the car into the car park space, Benjamin held Stella’s hand and followed Hayden. They headed backstage and saw Freddie’s assistant waiting for them at the entrance.
Freddie’s assistant took a breath of relief after seeing Hayden. He quickly led Hayden to the dressing room while explaining, “Finally, you’re here, Hayden. Freddie has rushed me to wait for you here since afternoon. He’s worried that you couldn’t find your way here.”
Hayden felt resigned.
“That’s impossible. Freddie is over-worried. This is his first concert, and he shouldn’t be worrying about anything else than his concert. I wouldn’t dare to come again if he continues to act like this.”
Two crews walked past Hayden quickly with props while Hayden talked. The standing microphone almost hit her face. Luckily Benjamin reacted quickly and pulled Hayden away.
“What are you guys doing? Be careful! You can’t afford to damage either our props or our guest!”
“It’s fine.”
Hayden tried to mediate.
People were busy with preparations for the concert in the hallway. It’s best not to trigger any disputes.
However, Hayden was worried for Stella. When she was about to turn and asked Benjamin to take care of Stella, she saw Benjamin has already carried Stella and protected her carefully in his arms.
Hayden stunned. Benjamin was still remembered as the person when Hayden first met him. When Benjamin woke up in the hospital after the accident, he looked innocent, panicked, and confused. Hayden was the only person he could rely on.
Hayden didn’t remember since when Benjamin had grown into an adult-like person, even when he hadn’t gained his memory back.
Maybe he was like this before the accident. Hayden can’t help wondering what kind of environment Benjamin was in that made him so mature.
“It’s too crowded here. I’ll bring Stella to a less crowded place?” Hayden woke up from her thoughts when Benjamin asked her a question.
“Sure,” Hayden nodded, “You should bring Stella over first. I’ll follow you after I’ve spoken to Freddie. It’s almost time.”
Freddie’s assistant agreed and looked at his phone, “Yes, it’s almost time. The concert is starting in about ten minutes.”
Benjamin brought Stella to the auditorium and sat in front of the stage while Hayden entered the dressing room with Freddie’s assistant.
“Where’s Freddie?” After looking around, all Hayden saw was Freddie’s stylists, makeup artists, and his manager. Freddie wasn’t in the room.
“Freddie went to the washroom. He should be back soon,” Freddie’s manager answered. He smiled warmly when he saw Hayden, “Hey, Hayden! Come, sit. Where’s Stella?”
“There are too many people backstage. I’m worried she would create trouble for the crew. I’ve sent her to the auditorium.”
