This man seemed to be a deep person. He wouldn't accept anything, even if it was money, without any equivalent exchange. Hayden decided to come to the point, "When you go to the Bevis family again, take me with you as your assistant. After the deal, you shall offer to walk around the house to see if there's any other furniture. And I'll be looking for the person that I want."
The man stared at her for a moment.
"Deal."
The man's assistant called him Mr. Sanchez, so Hayden followed the way he called the man. This time, they entered the Bevis house smoothly, with Hayden following their back. The woman that drove her away just now happened to be not there, and she had less trouble too.
Hayden examined the bureau and then gave Mr. Sanchez a meaningful wink after verifying it.
Mr. Sanchez looked at the Bevis, "We'll take it at the price you offered."
Arnold’s eldest brother, Edward, who sold the furniture was overjoyed, and he reached out, "Thank you…"
The assistant on the side walked in front of Mr. Sanchez knowingly to shake hands with Edward, "So, the fund will be transferred to your account in half an hour and we'll have someone here to take the bureau away. We still have time. Can we walk around to see if you have any other furniture?"
"Sure. Of course."
Edward was hoping that they could buy more here.
Mr. Sanchez was very generous. Many people came to look at this bureau, but no one could afford the price that he offered.
Hayden followed Mr. Sanchez and his assistant into the courtyard and pretended to look at the furniture. After going through the motions, they entered the backyard. Edward followed in and explained, "This is the place where my younger brother lives. His furniture is new and nothing special about it."
Hayden sneered, "Could it be that you're hiding some treasures here and afraid of letting Mr. Sanchez see it?"
"How could that be possible?" Edward waved his hands and said helplessly, "I'm telling the truth. You can take a look if you don't trust me. I'm just afraid of wasting your time here."
The assistant, who was not far behind Hayden, muttered, "She does really take herself as a secretary."
As he just finished saying it, he raised his head and saw the boss staring at him with a blank expression, "If you think it's troublesome, I'll be taking Devin out next time."
The assistant felt a chill and embarrassed, "I didn't mean that."
"Then cut the crap."
Hayden smelled the rich milky flavour as she walked into the backyard. Edward at the side explained, "My younger brother is a pastry chef who was just retired. He is used to making such pastries and the smell is strong too. How about we move on to the other places and have a look."
"Making pastries?" Hayden pretended to be surprised, "Is there any that is ready-made? Mr. Sanchez hasn't eaten yet. If there's any, we can buy some to have it on our way."
Edward waved his hand, "Need not buying it. You can just take it with you. Mr. Sanchez, what flavour do you prefer? Sweet or salty?"
Mr. Sanchez looked at Hayden and seemed to be questioning her.
This woman was really good at bluffing him. He never said that he wanted to eat. And she was getting cheeky.
Hayden then blinked at him, wanting him to act in concert with her.
The assistant at the side couldn't stand her anymore and wanted to speak out, but a clear voice sounded before him, "Show us the way."
The assistant was astonished, raising his head and staring at the boss for a while, with his jaw dropped.
Was the boss surprisingly acting in concert with this woman?
