President’s Twins: Buy One, Get One Free novel Chapter 212

The burns did not require much time to recuperate, and after a week, Hayden was able to walk on her own.

The resort development project of ST Group had been delayed for some time, so after confirming that there was nothing wrong with Hayden, Joseph went on a business trip overseas hurriedly.

“This project must be negotiated within three days. Once the plane lands, organize a meeting with the team.”

At the airport, Joseph gave Magnus an order that looked impossible.

“Three days?” Magnus’s looked like he was surprised. “Mr. Beckham, the time is not enough. They…”

“I don’t want to hear any excuses. You lead the team on your own and continue to negotiate with them. I’ll go back to Nanking directly as I have something to do.”

“Ah?”

Magnus could not believe what he just heard. “This is a project which is worth a few billion Yuan. What else is more important than this matter?”

“A personal matter.”

Joseph’s eyebrows knitted slightly, tinged with a bit of resentment.

If he had heard the correct news, the man called Edison would be coming to Nanking this week. There was no reason for Joseph not to go and meet this man, as he should know what the relationship between the man and Hayden was.

“Now we only need to wait for the ventilation. The ventilation here is good and the office supplies purchased are all second-hand like what you required, so it won’t take long for this building to be ready to use.”

The captain of the renovation team met with Hayden personally, and Hayden paid the money for the rest of the work after checking the condition of the building. Hayden felt excited looking at the new two-storey building.

The style of the building was the industrial style that Alayna had mentioned before. The walls were all smoky grey, which was resistant to dirt and attractive. The ground floor would be used as the administrative office while the second floor would be used as the designer’s workroom and clothing showroom.

Although the place was not big, it was also considered as a place that was built together by her and Alayna.

When she thought of Alayna, she couldn’t help but call her and expectedly it was answered by Kevin.

“How is Alayna these two days?”

“She could recognize people now. She looked well but was always sleepy. A man was staring at the window for quite a long time yesterday and I was afraid that something might happen so I asked someone to come and install a security window.”

Kevin’s condominium was on the thirty-first floor, and the installer would think Kevin was crazy as no people would install a security window when one lived on such a high floor, as only Spider-Man could climb through the window and steal something.

“Thanks a lot.”

Hayden sounded helpless, “If you really can’t hold on to keep an eye on her day and night, I suggest you take her to the hospital. Alayna told me that she would recover faster if she was hospitalized.”

“No need. I can keep an eye on her.”

Kevin said firmly. He should have made up his mind and refused to let her be hospitalized.

Hayden couldn’t say anything more. It was better to have someone to take care of Alayna than no one else, not to mention she had seen the situation in mental hospitals. It was mixed with all kinds of people and she felt like she was almost driven crazy when she went in, let alone when Alayna was already in such a critical period.

“She has slept a lot less today than she did yesterday already. If you are free, you can come and see her too. You are always welcomed to be here.”

“I will go there one day. The renovation of my company had finished and I am going to share the news with her. If there is nothing else for me to do, I’ll see her when I’m done.”

“Okay.”

After they chatted for a while, she hung up the call.

Hayden could not bear to talk too much to Kevin. If Alayna was still conscious, she would never have allowed herself to be seen by Kevin when she was in this state, but unfortunately, Hayden was not with her at that time. Hayden always felt that it was her negligence that caused Kevin to be dragged into this mess.

On the other end of the phone, Kevin put his phone aside and glanced back at the bedroom.

The curtains were closed and the light was dim. Alayna was already asleep.
