It was afternoon. In the blue sky, several pieces of cloud surrounded the blazing sun.
The highrise office building of the Chin's Group's was not as busy as usual because of the holiday break. Almost every floor of the building was empty and quiet, even the dustmen were rarely seen.
In the President's Office on the top floor, somebody was reading documents.
The general secretary and special assistant were waiting nearby attentively.
The office was quiet, and the "flip-flop" sound of turning the documents could be heard.
After Wilson finished reading half of the documents, his mobile phone rang.
As he deeply hated being disturbed during work, he wanted to hang up the phone directly. However, when he saw that the caller ID was his mother's, he finally picked it up.
When the line was connected, Wilson could hear complaints from his mother, Meadow Yamada. "Wilson, why are you still working now? Now is the holiday break. Why don't you go back home to see your father and me?"
"It's because I'm too busy in business!" Wilson pinched the place between his eyebrows.
Meadow said, "It will be the Mid-Autumn Festival the day after tomorrow. You have to go home for dinner, don't you?"
"Well... I won't forget about it," Wilson said.
"That's good!" Meadow was satisfied.
Wilson could overhear through the line that there seemed to be a servant reporting, "Madam, the driver is ready!"
Then, he heard Meadow saying, "Wilson, I don't want to talk to you anymore. I have to visit your uncle's house. Your uncle and auntie wanted me to introduce some other young men to Selene as her boyfriend candidates, but she refused every one of them!"
The entire Chin Family felt headache as far as Selene Chin, Wilson's youngest cousin, was concerned.
Wilson clearly knew Selene's standpoint. He frowned. "She still hasn't given up yet?"
Meadow sighed. "It's not so easy to persuade her to give up. When her engagement with Dylan was canceled, she acted as if it was the end of the world. Up to now, she still believes that her relationship with Dylan could be repaired, that someday she would still be able to marry into the Koo family! But this time is quite different. I heard that Dylan is going to get married to a girl who is perhaps his first lover. The marriage has been confirmed by Dylan's parents..."
Then, Meadow said something else, but Wilson didn't hear it clearly.
The phone was hung up, and his heart sank with anger and despair.
Behind the lens, his eyes were as gloomy as a silent pool of water.
As soon as the mobile phone was put down, the telephone in the office rang.
A short while later, Terry reported respectfully, "Mr. Chin, Miss Amery is coming!"
Wilson thought for half a second and said, "Let her come in!"
"Yes!" Terry nodded.
There was a knock on the door, and then Abby Amery pushed the door open and walked in with a smile.
In addition to the handbag on her wrist, she was also carrying a bag in her hand, which seemed to contain gifts for Wilson.
"Wilson, I guessed it straight away. You're probably the only one who would still be working on such a holiday! You haven't changed in this regard. I still remember you were the best at squeezing out your own time and energy while studying abroad!" Abby said.
When she talked about their life experience in the past, Abby generally would try to suggest something which could strengthen their emotional ties in an almost unnoticeable manner.
Wilson leaned back on the chair. "Why are you coming here?"
He crossed his long legs while saying. Such a posture made him look very casual.
The view of the top floor was especially wide. The blue sky and white clouds outside of the French window were clear and bright. Yet Wilson's handsome features were more likely to attract women's attention than the sky and clouds.
Abby's eye expression became softer. "The MidAutumn Festival is coming. Auntie and I made some mooncakes together at home. I have brought some of them for you! They are Five- kernel Mooncake, the same kind that we used to make in college. Try it and feel whether the taste has changed. This time, I have also added some honey in the mooncakes!"
"Uh-huh!" Wilson answered nonchalantly.
He didn't like to eat sweet things.
He was not interested in something like mooncakes, but he thought that it was inappropriate to refuse Abby's kindness directly.

Hate deception and Abby and Dylan take the cake ,ugh...
NO!!! Tina belongs with Wilson…. Let Dylan and Abby get together...
Wow, once again the villain messes up the true love, Abby needs to go back abroad. And Tina’s true identity as the daughter of Bill Ambrey needs to be exposed! Then the families can “convenience marry” !! Abby is a witch....
Too bad Wilson can’t figure out that his and Tina’s ex’s and his cousin Desmond are conniving creeps!...
Anthea is so stupid, lying and leaving the man who loves her more than life itself. 🤬...
She deserves to be unhappy, being with someone she doesn’t love because of resentment for the exact thing she is doing, hopefully she ends up with no one. Calvin is a wimp and doesn’t love her, just wants a wife to please his family....
So the same basic story as Simon and Addy but stupid Emily is going to marry him! What a hypocrite! Ugh...
Emily gets more stupid every chapter, when did she pickup Calvin as a fiancé!!?? This story line is awful….very sad to do to Simon what she “thought” he had done but didn’t. She is truly a dumb woman. Simon never loved or really even cared for Addy….what the hell is she doing with someone she doesn’t even know or like/love. Awful 😢...
Emily is a fool, don’t let go of the man who truly loves you. Let go of the past, of which he did nothing but help someone who saved his life, and be happy with him… he is your soulmate....
Nothing like cutting off your nose to spite your face Emily. Just stupid! Ugh 😩...
