Luna told me you‘ve always been an early riser, so I figured you‘d be awake by now.” She handed Rachel a muffin and added, “I don‘t really know what you like, so I decided to just wing it. “The reason I had come to Saigen City was that I noticed how similar Steven looked to Luke in the photo attached with his file. That‘s why I decided to fly over to see what was happening.”

She took the muffin from Gwen and explained, “You don‘t have to be so courteous to me, and I don‘t need you to keep thanking me like this. This is what a friend—and a doctor–should do.

Rachel knew just how much time and effort had to be put into preparing and baking these muffins. It was only 6:30 a.m., so Gwen had probably been up since 5 a.m. or even earlier.
