"A Zhao.."

Lin Zhao who was sitting at the edge of the river, heard a voice called out her name. She knew whose voice it was but she didn't turned her head nor she replied. Lin Zhao just sat there, hugging her knees while staring at the clear water and the fishes that were swimming around back and forth.

Lin Zhao turned her gaze back to the river, slowly releasing her knees and put her feet into the water just like Ming Yue did. "..You know.. I have never opened my heart to others.." Lin Zhao started to speak,

"..Being born in Wu Family, when I came to my senses, I noticed how people always showered me with empty flattery, showing fake smiles and tried to take advantage just by being close to me." Lin Zhao let out a soft sigh as she moved her feet softly, creating a light splashing sound before continuing.

"..Unlike my brother who can tolerate them to a certain degree, I can't. But meeting you, Sister Yue.. I see how you behave, the power you have, the maturity which unlike your age.. by the time I realize it, you have opened my heart and gain the first place inside it.."

Lin Zhao's hand reached for Ming Yue's and held it tightly. "..To me.. you are my hero, the person I look up to and the sister I am proud of." She said, her eyes met Ming Yue's.

"So please don't keep a secret from me. You can share anything with me. I want to carry your burden alongside you, because.. We are sisters."

Seeing the earnest expression and how Lin Zhao's eyes showed how serious she was to her words, Ming Yue nodded while smiling. "Mn.. I promise, I won't keep any secret from you."

"Pinky swear!" Lin Zhao puffed her cheeks slightly as she lifted her hand and offered her little finger.

Laughing softly, Ming Yue lifted her hand and entwined her little finger with Lin Zhao's. "Pinky swear."

Both girls were staring at each other while their little fingers entwined for a short while before giggles erupted from their lips and turned it to laughter.
