Chapter 104 

Yvette said anxiously, “Xavier was taken away by the police for allegedly home intrusion.” 

“Hasn’t Xavier been at home? How could he break into a house?” Selena asked. 

“Xavier was absent–minded after dinner. It was almost eleven when he went out alone. He refused to tell me where he was going when I asked Thinking of Xavier’s dejected look carlier, Yvette suddenly had some guesses. 

At Aurelith University, Yasmine received an e–mail from Lena in Morvica. Since the last time Lena read her thesis, they often discussed psychological research through e–mail. 

This email was about the publication of theses. Lena thought that Yasmine’s research could be published in the Journal of Psychology. Yasmine had considered it before, but she got married before she could get any research results. After marriage, Yasmine gave up her career and stopped her research halfway. 

Now when Lena mentioned it, Yasmine had an idea. 

After Yasmine wrote a few words, Helen rushed in with Selena, followed by Yvette. 

“Yasmine! Did you call the police and arrest my brother?” Helen slapped the table aggressively. 

Yasmine looked calm and saved her file. Tm working now. Please get out!” 

“Bitch, I’m warning you to release my son! It was such a big mistake to let me marry into our family. You hurt my daughter first, and now you hurt my son!” Selena pointed at her nose and scolded. 

Yasmine sneered, “Mrs. Flynn, if you don’t go out now, I will call security!” 

“Humph, let me remind you something. The Flynn family is one of the school board members.” 

Yvette said with tears in her eyes, “Ms. Sanchez, I know you’re still resentful about what happened. If you hate me, I promise not to show up in front 

of you again. But before that, could you please let him go? Although you have divorced, you still have an emotional bond.” 

Yasmine looked at her seriously and said slowly, “Yvette, I think you misunderstood. Your husband has nothing to do with me. There is no emotional bond between us. I called the police because he had continuously pestered me several times.” 

“You’re lying! Xavier hates you so much! How could he possibly come to pester you? Do you even want to threaten him with this excuse! You are really a vicious woman.” Helen muttered. 

Selena said with a grim look, “Right! That’s ridiculous. Xavier wouldn’t pester a woman like you. Don’t flatter yourself! Xavier only liked Yvette in the past and will still do in the future!” 

“It doesn’t concern me. The police will find out about the truth. Xavier will be released if he can prove his innocence. Besides, the Flynn family is so capable. Can’t you even fix such a small matter?” Yasmine’s eyes flashed with coldness. 

Yasmine didn’t know what Xavier was up to. But she was sure that he should not have gotten detained yesterday for that matter alone. Something else must have happened. 

Or maybe he had been released but he didn’t return home. 

Yvette and Selena exchanged a glance at Yasmine’s words. 

But Helen continued cursing, “Yasmine, don’t try to shift the blame. Don’t you forget who you are! You’re just someone Xavier forsook. Don’t be so cocky! You took the money from the Flynn family, and you hooked up with Mr. Russell with that money, right? Now you claim it has nothing to do with you? Don’t say that until you give us back our money! It’s 30 million dollars. Aren’t you afraid that it will crush you?” 

Yasmine exhaled deeply and looked at her coldly. “That is the agreement between Xavier and me when we filed a divorce. Be careful about what you say, or you will get yourself killed.” 

She used the phone in her office and said, “I need security here” 

“What You’re gonna kill me? Great! Mom, Yvette, you heard it. This bitch wants to kill me! She threatens mer H 

Helen shouted 

Yasmine stood up in annoyance and slapped her in the face. “Are you done!” 

“How dare you hit me?” Helen looked at her angrily and wanted to kill her on the spot. 

“Tin trying to wake you up. Now get out of here!” Yasmine remarked.

Selena covered her mouth and cursed, “Bitch! How dare you hit my daughter! You’ll end up dead miserably!” 

“How dare you hit me?” Helen immediately rushed to Yasmine. 

Yasmine dodged backward and said in a sharp voice, “Do you want to be detained too?” 

Helen stopped approaching her at the words. She did not want to be detained! She had been disgraced once. How could she go through it again? 

Helen had become the laughingstock among socialites in Soucrity. Yasmine simply wanted to destroy her! 

Several security guards arrived at once. At the sight of Selena, they were hesitant. One said, “Ms. Sanchez, they are the school board members.” 

Then he said to Selena, “Mrs. Flynn, please leave, or you will make things difficult for us.” 

Selena looked at the bodyguard in disbelief. She didn’t expect him to offend her for Yasmine.
