Chapter 124 

“You’re injured. Yonas was a little worried. 

Thunder and lightning lit up the sky. Yasmine trembled and jumped into his arms. She was afraid of rainy days and 

thunder. 

Yonas held her in his arms, one hand around her waist and the other touching her hair. She didn’t see the guilt and worry in 

Yonas’s eyes. 

Yasmine smelled his chest and felt safe. Yonas probably felt sorry for not coming to her earlier. 

The e next day, the rain has evaporated. The sun shone brightly as if last night’s rain did not exist. 

Yasmine opened her amber eyes and found that Yonas had left. She touched the pillow and thought he should have left long 

ago. 

She got dressed and went out of the bedroom. Breakfast was already placed on the dining room table with a note: [Good morning. I’m going to work] Mr. Russell also drew a little heart on the note, which made Yasmine smile. 

She posted the heart on the note on Twitter. The first person who liked it was Yoselin, and she also left a message: [Yasmine, I know who drew it.] 

Lucy asked under Yoselin’s message: [Yoselin, who is it?! Is he the one I think of?] 

Yoselin asked: [Lucy, who are you thinking of?]

Yasmine put away her phone, finished breakfast, and went to work

her. 

When her last paper was published in the Journal of Psychology, she became a new psychologist. 

Her research was more cutting–edge and she needed a huge data, so she must turn to Lena for help. 

After finishing a part, three students came to her counseling office.

One of them looked subservient, while the other two were lively and cheerful, chattering all the time.

“Ms. Sanchez, this is my roommate. She was hurt by her family and received a threatening phone call today. We saw her in a daze all the time without talking. Just now in the dormitory, she wanted to hurt herself with a knife. It was very terrifying, so we brought her here,” the other two girls said. 

Yasmine took the girl to her office and began to comfort her carefully, 

Most of the psychological problems caused by the family could be alleviated through psychological suggestions. 

When she went out after comforting the girl, she accidentally heard that the other girls mentioned Yonas’s name. 

“Mr. Russell will attend a fancy auction. I may never be able to attend the auction like this!” one girl said.

“Red diamond? My mother asked me if I wanted to go this morning, but I refused. What a pity,” one girl replied.

The girl didn’t say anything but nodded. 

When Yasmine got off work, she received a call from Xavier. She didn’t want to answer it and hung up directly. 

After leaving the office, Yoselin and Yonas had already left to attend the auction. Anyway, the school was not far from the apartment, so it wouldn’t take long for her to walk. 

But when she arrived at her apartment, a car stopped in front of her with the window down. Yvette shouted to her anxiously, “Ms. Sanchez, grandpa fainted!” 

Yasmine was shocked. “What?” 

“Get in the car. Yvette said. 

Without further hesitation, Yasmine immediately got into Yvette’s car. Maybe Xavier had been calling her just now for this matter, but she didn’t take it seriously. 

When they arrived at the hospital, Xavier was leaning against the door of the ward, Mia was giving Matthew an injection. Yasmine frowned and walked over, “What’s wrong with grandpa 

Xavier looked haggard and uncomfortable. “I don’t know. The butler called me.” 

Hearing the conversation between them, Yvette clenched her fists but said nothing. She had more important things to do. 

Mia came out of the ward and told Xavier that Matthew was fine now.
