Rebirth In Divorce: My New Mr. Perfect novel Chapter 63

Chapter 63
Yesterday at the banquet, Yonas didn’t see her wearing that and thought she didn’t like it.
Today, Yoselin and Chuck finally got their chance to get revenge for you,” Yonas said, shaking his head. During the meal, Yoselin ordered a mountain of desserts, while Chuck worked hard to make delicious food. It wasn’t until there was an absurd amount of dishes on the table that Chuck finally let him off the hook.
Thanks for sponsoring this time. Next time, I’ll treat you, and then you can get your revenge,” Yasmine joked.
Seeing her smile, Yonas briefly lost his train of thought before snapping back. “Sounds good.”
When they reached the bottom of the apartment building, Yasmone helped Yoselin upstairs.
The Flynn family quickly removed the post about Helen from the forum, and no one dared to bring it up there. However, whenever Helen returned to the classroom, she could still feel the disdainful glances from everyone.
With less than a week before the psychology knowledge competition, her biggest wish was to get Yasmine out of the way before it started. Although she didn’t have the power to influence the leaders, she could definitely target Yasmine.
In the counseling office, members of the Event Department brought in the sponsorship contract, and Yonas had already signed it.
Thank goodness for Yoselin, we managed to get sponsorship from the Russell family. They’re way stronger than the Flynn family,” one student said.
“Helen really thought she could call the shots all by herself,” another added.
Yasmine had just finished counseling a student and was pouring herself a glass of water when she noticed the Event Department students. “Hey, everyone,’ she said, having specifically called for them to prepare for the competition.
“Ms. Sanchez, we’ve completed the contract signing, one student said, placing the contract on Yasmine’s desk.
Another student picked up a proposed judge panel list. “Here’s the judge list we came up with. Is there anyone you think we should change?”
Yasmine took the list. Most were faculty members from the department, and even Carter was included. This arrangement
made sense.
Yasmine spotted her own name on the list as a judge. “I think we should add one more person.”
“Who? These are basically the same ones as previous years, a student asked, surprised.
“A psychologist, Lena.”
The Event Department students were stunned. One student hesitantly asked, “You mean Professor Langston? The one who’s been on TV, has done interviews, and just returned from abroad
That’s right,” Yasmine confirmed with a nod.
She handed the revised list back to the students. “Okay, you all handle the others on the list. I’ll take care of reaching out to
Lena
“Got it. If we can really get Lena to be a judge, this competition is bound to be the most prestigious one we’ve ever had,” said a student.

After the students left, Yasmine took a quick glance at the contract. Now they just needed the judges.
Inviting Lena wouldn’t be easy. She had been famous for a long time and was on par with Mr. White in psychological research. If they could get her to join, it would definitely motivate the students.

In the garden on campus, a student leaned in close to Helen’s ear and whispered a few words.
“What?! She actually wants to invite Lena?!’ Helen’s eyes widened, and she slammed her hand down on the stone table.
Upon hearing that Yasmine had secured a sponsor, she guessed it was Yonas. If Yasmine managed to successfully invite Lena, her status and reputation at Aurelith University would skyrocket, and Helen was determined not to let that happen.
“I heard Lena is really hard to invite. She probably wouldn’t be interested in a competition, considering she turned down an invitation to be a judge at a national psychology knowledge competition back in Briarvale,” the student said.
Helen nodded. “Got it. I’ll keep that in mind.”
As Helen and Ximena reached the school gate, they noticed a Maserati parked out front, with Xavier leaning casually against the car door, waiting for her.
vier, you came to pick me up?” Helen exclaimed, dragging Ximena with her, filled with both joy and anxiety. She didn’t want her brother to come for Yasmine again. Last time, she had already lost face, and this time, she had to make sure her brother took her home.
“Yes, is this your classmate?” Xavier nodded and greeted Ximena
Helen’s vanity surged, and she smiled smugly at Ximena, “See? I told you my brother came to pick me up. Maybe he can drop you off, too.”
Then she turned to Xavier and asked, “This is my classmate. Can we give her a ride home, too?” She looked at Xavier hopefully, anxious about a possible rejection.
Xavier frowned slightly but ultimately nodded.
Once they got into the car, Ximena couldn’t help but look around, her hands exploring the luxurious interior. She had never been in such a fancy car before.
Helen, however, was too busy complaining. “Xavier, you wouldnt believe it. Yasmine actually managed to get Yonas to help her out! Now everyone at school is speculating about their relationship. We’re all guessing what’s going on between them. I just don’t understand how someone like her could become a psychology instructor with such questionable morals.”
“What did you say?” Xavier slammed on the brakes, his expression immediately turning icy.
Helen rolled her eyes, exasperated. “You scared me! I was just saying the Russell family has decided to sponsor the competition. I heard the event department contacted tons of people yesterday, but no one accepted. And then this morning, news broke that the Russell family signed a deal.”
Xavier’s lips were pressed tightly together, and his eyes filled with a fierce intensity Why does Yonas always have to meddle? he thought.
When they returned to the Flynn residence, Helen furiously recounted the whole thing to Selena, who was equally shocked.
“See, Xavier? Do you still not believe it? You gave her so much money, and now you’re just making someone else rich, Selena exclaimed in frustration
Xavier kept a cold silence and walked straight out without answering Yvette when she questioned him.

“Mom! I don’t care! Get her out of Aurelith! I don’t want to see her anymore! The university is taking her way too seriously. letting her be in charge of the competition! Yonas treats her so well. How is she better than me, anyway?” Helen cried.
Yvette understood what Helen wanted; it was all about Yonas. Suddenly, a handsome face appeared in her mind, and even she found it hard to resist such charms.
And yet,
how could Yonas, such a catch, be interested in a divorced woman like Yasmine? It just didn’t make sense.
Hearing her daughter’s words, Selena could only echo, “Exactly! My daughter is so pretty and smart, while Yasmine is just some lowlife. Sooner or later, Yonas will see through her lies.”
Yvette only felt scornful in her heart. Helen was full of ill intentions, and she wasn’t even as pretty as Yasmine, yet she thought she stood a chance with Yonas. It was nothing but wishful thinking.
“Helen, I actually have an idea,” Yvette said, pondering for a moment.
Helen quickly wiped away her tears, asking eagerly. “What is it?”
