Rebirth In Divorce: My New Mr. Perfect novel Chapter 81

Chapter 81
She threw herself into Xavier’s arms, crying, “Xavier! Get me out of here quickly. I don’t want to stay in this place. There’s no one to even talk to here.”
Selena looked at her with concern and said, “Helen, Xavier, and have been so worried about you. As soon as we heard what happened, we went to that wretched wpman, but she refused to let you go. And Yonas, he’s determined to protect Yasmine. But why were you so foolish? How could you dare provoke someone from the Russell family?”
Helen shouted, “Mom, I know I was wrong. Please get me out of here. Tomorrow, all the news will be about me being taken away by the police. How embarrassing will that be? I don’t want that. Xavier, you’ll help me, won’t you?”
She cried heartbrokenly, clutching Selena’s clothes with one hand and Xavier’s sleeve with the other. But no matter how much she cried and begged, Xavier only looked at her coldly.
A wave of panic washed over her. She hurriedly said, “Xavier, why are you looking at me like that? Isn’t this all your fault? If it wasn’t for you, why would that wretched woman hate me so much? If you hadn’t divorced her, she wouldn’t have reported me to the police so decisively.”
A loud slap was heard. The sound echoed as Helen held her swelling check in disbelief, tears out of pain streaming down her face.
“Have you said enough? Do you still not realize what you did wrong? Yasmine has told me everything that how you and Mom slandered her on the forum, tried to push her out of Aurelith University, and failed several times. What about the promises you made at the Russell family’s banquet and your birthday party?”
Xavier continued, his voice filled with disappointment, “You must have lost your mind to steal the test paper of the competition and frame someone else. I sent you to school to learn, and this is what you come back with? Instead of reflecting on your actions, you blame everything on me? I don’t think you need to be rescued. You should stay in the detention center and think about what you’ve done!”
Helen realized what she had just said. Hearing Xavier’s final words, she clung to Selena in desperation. She shouted, “Mom, don’t want to stay here. Listen to what Xavier’s saying. I can’t stay here. There’s nothing but a metal bed and a thin blanket. How can I sleep?”
She couldn’t bear to stay in such a place. If she didn’t get out soon and ended up being sentenced, she would have to go to prison.
Selena, of course, couldn’t bear it either. Her eyes reddened, and she hugged Helen. She said, “Helen, it’s all my fault. Don’t blame your brother!”
Hearing Selena’s words, Xavier sighed and said, “Stop crying. I’ll find a way out.”
“Xavier, I knew you wouldn’t abandon me.” Helen quickly wiped away her tears.
“We’re leaving now. Take care of yourself,” Xavier said as he and Selena left.
Helen knew that they were going to find a way to get her out.
Back at the apartment, peace returned. Yoselin had fallen into a deep sleep, but her brows were still furrowed.
Yonas was worried and gently laid her on the couch. Then he covered her with a blanket. He sighed and said, “She hasn’t had an episode in a long time. I wonder why it happened so suddenly…”
Yasmine also found it strange. She thought, ‘Yoseline had been fine all along, so why now?
She glanced at her own leg and wondered if it was because of the burn.

Chapter 81
“Yonas, has Yoselin ever been burned before?” she asked, puzzled
Yonas thought for a while and answered, “No.”
“If Yoselin wakes up and has another episode, I suggest we take her straight to the hospital. Of course, I’ll continue to help with her treatment, Yasmine said seriously.
Yonas nodded, understanding the severity of the situation. After everything they had been through, Yasmine was exhausted. She slumped on the couch, panting heavily. To make matters worse, besides the pain from the burn, her lower abdomen began to ache, as if a small knife was twisting inside her stomach
She clutched her abdomen, curling up. Yonas immediately noticed her condition. He asked, “Yasmine, what’s wrong?”
She didn’t hide it from him and replied, “My stomach… Sweat beaded on her forehead. She was too tired to speak.
“Did you take your traditional medicine?” Yonas asked.
Yasmine replied, “Not today’s dose.”
Yonas quickly went to the kitchen, retrieved a fresh packet of liquid traditional medicine from the fridge, and placed the pot he had used the previous day on the stove to brew the medicine.
After leaving the pot to simmer, he returned to the living room and picked up the burn ointment. He said, “The medicine hasn’t been applied yet.”
“I can do it myself, Yasmine said, feeling embarrassed.
Yonas squeezed some ointment onto his finger and gently applied it to her leg. His touch was so soft that it sent a shiver through Yasmine’s skin. Feeling that she was shivering, Yonas asked, “Does it hurt?”
Yasmine gripped the couch cu*n tightly, her knuckles turning white as the veins on the back of her hand bulged.
“It’s bearable, Yasmine replied, her voice trembling slightly.
Yonas became even more gentle. What should have taken five minutes took him ten.
When Yonas finally finished, a few beads of sweat had formed on his forehead.
“Thank you,” Yasmine said, feeling a flutter in her chest.
She could sense how careful Yonas was, as if she were a precious treasure he dared not harm.
She couldn’t help but think of how magazines described him: [cold and ruthless, aloof and detached.]
If people saw this gentle, caring side of Yonas, she wondered what kind of stir it would cause. Instinctively, she let out a soft laugh and hurriedly covered her mouth.
“What are you laughing at?” Yonas asked.
“Nothing, just laughing,” she replied casually.
The smell of the medicine wafted through the kitchen door. The bitter scent made Yasmine instinctively cover her nose.
Youas hurriedly took the medicine out and poured it into a bowl through the filter. He said, “Take it.”
The bitterness hit Yasmine, and she felt nauseous even before taking a sip.
She took a spoonful and nearly gagged. The medicine was much more bitter than last night’s dose
