Chapter 81 I’d Rather Jump Than Accept Your Help 

As soon as Olivia realized Vance was behind tonight’s mess, she immediately called him. 

“Vance, what the heck did you do this time? What was in that soup?” 

On the other end, Vance’s voice oozed with pride.

“I told you tonight would work out perfectly! That soup’s recipe was specially sourced–it’s practically magical. Even a monk would lose his composure.” 

Olivia was speechless with rage. 

“Why didn’t you tell me earlier?” 

Vance replied nonchalantly, “Relax! It doesn’t matter who drinks it. Just take the opportunity tonight to give the Wilson family a healthy baby boy. Trust me, once my brother’s hooked, he’ll be completely loyal to you.” 

Olivia wanted to reach through the phone and strangle him. 

Sabotage is one thing, but this is next–level betrayal! 

Fuming, she hung up and stood by the cold air vent, taking deep breaths to suppress the strange heat coursing through her body. But her face only grew redder, her heart raced faster, and her drifting toward Alexander. 

It felt like she could even smell the faint, tantalizing scent of his cologne. 

Terrified she might lose control, Olivia quickly shut her eyes, pretending he wasn’t there. 

But then… 

A sudden warmth crept up behind her. 

Olivia instinctively opened her eyes and froze. 

In front of her was Alexander’s strong, well–defined arm 

eyes kept 

At some point, Alexander had moved behind her. His burning chest was nearly pressed against her back, and the thin layer of clothing between them did little to block the heat radiating from his skin. 

The warmth nearly made Olivia’s mind short–circuit. She stood there rigid, not daring to move a muscle.. 

As if unaware of how close they were, Alexander casually reached forward to grab a glass of water from the table in front of her. 

The movement caused his chest to brush against her back. 

Olivia forgot how to breathe. Every fiber of her being screamed at her to turn around and wrap herself around his perfect physique. 

“Want some water?” Alexander’s voice was calm, as though he hadn’t noticed the faint trembling of Olivia’s shoulders. Instead of stepping away after picking up the glass, he held it out toward her.

“You really don’t want my help?” he asked, his tone teasing.
