Jude got into his car and drove away.
Meanwhile, Joel turned back to glance at the signboard of Willow Creek Clinic with a contemplative look in his eyes.
Why was it that they couldn't afford to offend a teenage girl?
He didn't understand this, but due to the Kaufman family's upbringing and values, he held great respect for Jude. Joel held Jude in high regard. So, even if he didn't agree with his brother's opinion, he would not go against him.
"I'll investigate and find out what exactly makes you so special," Joel murmured. Then he took out his phone and dialed a number.
…
Willow Creek Clinic ceased operations for half a day due to the commotion in the afternoon. However, since the incident didn't get out of hand, they only needed to do some simple cleaning up, and the clinic returned to normal the next day.
Daniel took the initiative to lead the construction team in thoroughly cleaning Willow Creek Clinic, both inside and out. Samuel also had someone send over freshly made boxed meals.
"Ms. Henderson, the people from the State Medical Board wouldn't show up without a reason. Someone must have been behind this," Daniel stated.
Even though Sean, Dallas, and the others would be punished for their unjust actions, he still felt indignant. He then suggested, "Should we investigate this matter thoroughly?"
"That's right! We're running a legitimate business, yet they twisted things around and hauled us off to the police station. I can't just let this go!" Dunstan immediately chimed in.
"I have an inkling as to who made the report. All of you don't need to get involved in the follow-up for this," Yolanda said in an even tone.
"Yolanda, do you know who it was?" Sharon hesitated but finally spoke up. "I'm sorry I got you into trouble again."
