"They haven't taken any action yet. Even if I were to call the police, they would disregard it," Yolanda said to Sharon.
Yolanda was observing the situation through the rearview mirror. "When they take action, lock the car doors. Do not open it under any circumstances."
"But you—" Sharon was a little worried.
Even if she knew that Yolanda could fight decently, for her to face a bunch of robbers was still a little…
"I'll be okay." Yolanda smiled. Suddenly, she saw a minivan coming at them at full speed from behind.
Her expression turned solemn as she muttered to Sharon in a low voice, "Slow down."
"Huh? Okay…"
Sharon released the gas pedal and slowed down the car to the slowest possible speed.
Not long after, that van overtook them.
Then, the van ahead of them swerved sideways, blocking the roads ahead.
Fortunately, Yolanda had already told Sharon to slow down beforehand, so when things like these happened, they were not caught in a flurry of panic.
Sharon slammed on the brakes. Her car stopped just right before the van with less than 10 feet between them.
At the same time, Yolanda tossed her backpack to Sharon, opened the car door, and got out of the car. "Lock the doors. Don't move!"
"Okay!" Sharon locked the car doors and hugged Yolanda's backpack tightly. Then, she watched Yolanda intently without blinking even once.
The people from the van had already gotten out. There were four men and one woman in total, and they all wielded weapons in their hands.
