Edward let out a snicker. "Are you scared now? I'm not just the facilities manager at Cinnamine Pharmaceuticals. I'm also buddies with all the big shots in Riverdale! You'll regret crossing me!"

Noticing the coldness in Yolanda's eyes, he bristled, "Sit down and drink quietly if you want to get your cousin into Cinnamine!"

Though he was not attracted to Yolanda, he did not want Winnie to leave so soon. She was far prettier than Stella and the others. He had been using the drinking as an excuse to get closer to her.

"That's unnecessary." After saying that, Yolanda turned to Winnie. "Begging him won't help getting you into Cinnamine. How could a facilities manager have any say in company hiring?"

"I…" Winnie knew Edward's team had nothing to do with HR, but he was still from the senior management. If she offended him and he badmouthed her to the HR team, it could affect the interviewer's impression of her.

"Oh?" Edward sneered. "Even if you got the invitation, I can have HR cancel it!"

With a malicious smile, he appeared smug and petty. "One phone call and you'll have no chance for an interview. Try me!"
