"But why is the big boss not here yet, though? It's almost 8:30 am now," Stella grumbled as she looked at her watch in confusion.
Before that, Cianna had informed them that the big boss would arrive at 8:30 am, so they came down half an hour earlier to welcome the big boss. It was nearly 8:30 am now and there were still no signs of the big boss.
Stella, who was hoping that the big boss would notice her, was very disappointed.
She had done all that she could to curry favor with Edward yesterday so he would bring her along to welcome the big boss.
To exhibit her charm, she had gotten up extra early in the morning and adorned her face with exquisite makeup.
She had been standing for 30 minutes in high heels, and her feet had already become sore ages ago. She tried to hold in the urge to cover her mouth to stifle a yawn. Then, she stood up tall once more to contort her body into the typical S shape.
The source of Stella's confidence in the big boss being a man was unknown. She had automatically assumed that the new big boss would be a male and had spent extra time and effort looking presentable. She hoped to leave a lasting impression on the big boss.
Just as she was craning her neck with anticipation, a plump girl wearing normal sports attire came down from the bus at the bus stop nearby.
"Isn't that Winnie's country bumpkin of a cousin?" Stella whispered quietly as she thought, "What bad luck to see that bringer of bad luck this early in the morning."
She thought Yolanda was just coincidentally walking past, so she didn't mind Yolanda. However, after Yolanda had gotten down from the bus, she walked toward their company and stood before them.
"Who are you looking for?" A member of the company's management team looked at how ordinary Yolanda was wearing and frowned. "We're not hiring janitors now."
"Aren't you Yolanda?" Edward's face darkened as he saw Yolanda walking toward them.
If it wasn't for Yolanda meddling in his business, he would have been able to have his way with Winnie before Knox arrived. If it had gone according to plan, he would have already gotten Winnie up to a room upstairs and wouldn't have been chased out by Knox in such a shameful way.
Edward held a grudge regarding what had happened yesterday, so when he saw Yolanda, he couldn't let it slide.
