Yolanda took out sanitizing wipes from her coat pocket and placed a bead onto the wipe. Then, she held the bead between her thumb and index finger and pinched it hard. The red coral bead split in half.
Knox and the rest inhaled sharply. They were surprised that Yolanda was able to pinch the bead and split it into two. Also, they were shocked to see that the bead was hollow in the middle.
As the bead split open, the red powder inside had also spilled all over the sanitizing wipes.
"This is a deadly poisonous medicinal powder mainly from the Baltique Datura plant. The poison may be sealed in the red coral bead, but it would also seep through it and enter the bracelet wearer's body.
"The wearer wouldn't exhibit any symptoms in a short time; but if worn more than half a year, all the organs of the wearer would then be corroded. Even the best machines in the hospital wouldn't be able to find out why."
Yolanda's words made the conference room sink into pin-drop silence.
Cianna and Kelly felt their hair stand after hearing Yolanda's words.
Knox was stunned. After a long while, he asked, "Is this in all the other beads as well?"
"Yes. Do you need me to pull them all apart and show them to you?" Yolanda picked up another bead and was about to pull it apart.
"No! No need!" Knox waved his hands as soon as he could.
"This is why I said the person that sold you this wants you dead."
"I have no intentions to kill you, Ms. Henderson." Knox was suddenly very anxious as he explained.
"Before this, I really liked it when I saw it. That's why I bought it and was thinking about giving it to you as a token of apology since you ladies like jewelry. I—"
"I know this has nothing to do with you." Yolanda might not trust Knox 100%, but Knox's intelligence couldn't have allowed him to think of such an intricate plan to cause harm to others.
