Upon hearing that, the doctor felt his professionalisin was being challenged. 

He said seriously, “Miss, although the patient’s thigh was pierced by a steel rod, it’s not severe enough to threaten his life, so there’s no need to worry. Our hospital’s doctors are very skilled it’s just a stab wound.” 

He was implying that Tianá didn’t respect the doctors‘ skills enough. 

Tiana gave an awkward smile. “Sorry, doctor, I’m just worried about the patient.” 

The doctor watched her smile and listened to her apology, but there wasn’t a trace of sincerity. Instead, she seemed to wish the patient would pass away. 

The doctor shook his head, wondering what kind of relative this was. 

Tiana said, “Wait, doctor, when we found the patient, it seemed like he had lost his memory.” 

The doctor explained, “After examining his head, we found he had suffered a severe blow to the back of his head, causing a blood clot. It’s a difficult area to operate on. 

“We should wait for a while; as the clot clears, his memory should come back. It’s not too serious, and the chances of him remembering are pretty good.” 

Tiana asked, “Is there a way to make him forget permanently?”

Tiana felt conflicted. She used to hope Vance would face consequences, but now she realized that trying to change his fate was a mistake from the start. 

Not interfering in others‘ destinies was a way of respecting their choices. Whatever happened to Vance in the future was none of her concern. 

The two of them arrived at the hospital room, which was spacious. The island had plenty of space, so each room was bright and roomy. 

Vance lay in bed, his face pale and lifeless. 

Tiana said worriedly, “Natalie, Wendy has already cut ties with him. Nick and Jennifer might not come here to take care of him. If we don’t take care of him, what will happen to him? Plus, he might really have amnesia.” 

Natalie replied, “Tiana, give Mrs. Simpson a call. She can’t just leave her son in the lurch.” She wanted to send Jason abroad to protect him.

Natalie thought about it; if Jennifer found out that Vance wasn’t dead, she would definitely make his life miserable and frame Natalie. She wouldn’t let such a perfect opportunity slip away. 

Jennifer’s ambitions were becoming evident; Vance couldn’t uncover the truth with her around. 

She didn’t want to save Vance, but she really didn’t want any complications either. She still had a lot to do. 

Vance had lost his memory, and there was a good chance Jennifer would take advantage of him, then go after Natalie.
