Chapter 251 

Natalie couldn’t sleep though she was extremely sad. 

However, she ate very little for dinner. 

She slipped on her slippers and rushed downstairs. 

She dashed to the kitchen, flung open the fridge, pulled out all the octopus, and began preparing it at the sink, swiftly working to get it ready. 

Then Natalie found onions, bell peppers, celery, and some spicy sauce. 

Then she lit the stove, blanched the squid, and started stir–frying it. 

She also steamed two crabs. 

Thirty minutes later, three plates of midnight snacks were on the table. 

Natalie grabbed a can of beer from the fridge. 

Then she took some photos and posted them on Instagram. 

She wrote: [Pissed off by a fool late at night. I’m starving! Anyway, I should never engage in arguments with idiots! 

After posting, Natalie began scrolling through short videos, savoring her midnight snack: a sip of cold beer followed by fried calamari. She was truly in her element. 

“Oh… Finally feeling good. I wish Valerie were here. If she were, we could totally badmouth that jerk Easton together,” murmured Natalie to herself. 

Easton was at the Garcia residence; after coming back, Amy pleaded with him, and he decided to keep her employed. 

Amy had taken care of Anne for many years, so Easton warned her to respect Natalie. If such a thing happened again, Amy would be gone for good. 

Amy nodded nervously, promising not to make the same mistake again. 

Only then did Easton turn and go upstairs to take a shower. 

As soon as he lay down on the bed, he heard a special notification sound. 

He picked up his phone and, unlocking it, saw that Natalie had posted nine photos. The caption made him laugh in frustration. He wondered, ‘So am I the idiot? 

‘Damn Natalie! I was only trying to help her. Her design sketches are really good. If she pursued further studies, she’d achieve great things. 

‘But Natalie doesn’t want to go abroad. This is tricky. Never mind. I should tell Grandma about it in the morning and see if she could persuade Natalie. Staying here is too dangerous for her. 

None of the Simpson family members are decent. 

Easton felt guilty towards Natalie, who had spent the prime of her youth, two whole years, caring for him and thus missing out on college. This was why he considered sending her abroad for further studies, but she showed no interest.

Chapter 251 

After downing two bottles of beer, Natalie felt light as a feather, and the anger in her heart cooled down. 

Squinting her eyes, Natalic staggered to the bathroom to brush her teeth before heading to bed.

She was a little too full to lie down comfortably, so she hugged the blanket, leaving one leg outside, which made her feel a lot better. 

She had a sound sleep. 

Natalie woke up at eight the next morning. 

Recalling that Anne had an acupuncture appointment today, she rose in a daze, freshened up, and donned comfortable attire. Subsequently, she drove herself to the Garcia residence. 

It was already past nine when she arrived. 

Natalie walked in with a medical kit in hand. Anne was sitting on the couch, looking around anxiously. 

Seeing Natalie enter, Anne quickly stood up with a smile and said, “Natalie, didn’t you say you wouldn’t leave last night? Why did you leave, then?” 

Amy standing to the side looked nervously at Natalie. If Anne found out what happened last night, she would definitely fire Amy. 

Anne absolutely adored Natalie, but Amy couldn’t let Natalie ruin her son’s future. 

Natalie gave Amy a cool glance before turning to Anne and saying, “Grandma, I forgot one of the herbs, so I went back.” Anne said, “Alright, come have some breakfast first.” She pulled Natalie towards the dining room. 

Natalie noticed Easton was also there, so she sat across from him, next to Anne. 

Anne said, “Natalie, the lobsters you sent a few days ago taste wonderful with oatmeal. I’ve had a poor appetite lately, but the freshness and flavor of the lobsters have encouraged me to eat a bit more. 

“And this nutritious soup is not only delicious but also great for your skin. You should have some more.” 

Natalie smiled and reassured Anne, “Don’t worry, Grandma. Your stomach problem isn’t serious. With a little care, you’ll be feeling better soon.” 

Natalie quietly sipped her oatmeal, avoiding making any eye contact with Easton. 

Easton observed Natalie quietly, pondering if she hadn’t had enough to eat the previous night. Once she returned home, she had a late–night snack, consumed some drinks, and then proceeded to reprimand him. 

Anne finished half a bowl of oatmeal and said, “Natalie, Easton mentioned that you haven’t been able to attend college these past two years because you’ve been taking care of him. 

“He wants to send you abroad for further studies. I think Easton’s idea is great; the best investment a woman can make is in herself. 

“Only by improving yourself can you have a better future.” 

Natalie was stunned, looking at Easton across the table, realizing he still hadn’t given up. 

Natalie looked at Easton and asked, “Mr. Garcia, which university are you planning to send me to for further studies?” 

Easton replied, “Glacieria Institute of Design. You have great talent in design, and further study could make your future incredibly valuable.”
