Murray cried for a while before he finally calmed down. He seemed genuinely frightened, his strong body trembling slightly. He looked at Natalie with a pout. He said, “Natalie, I’m feeling terrible again.” 

Natalie was shocked. The broken look on Murray’s charming face amazed her; his skin was as white as jade, and covered in tears. With a few strands of hair hanging over his forehead, he looked even more fragile and enchanting. 

Natalie said, “Murray, it’s okay now. I’m here. It’s okay.” She couldn’t help but soften her voice, her restraint slipping in front of such attractiveness. 

Hearing Natalie’s gentle voice, Murray felt warmth in his heart. 

Noticing Natalie’s expression changed, Easton’s gaze grew even colder, and his brows furrowed tightly. He thought, ‘What’s Murray doing? Is he acting like the victim?” 

Murray said, “Natalie, I’m scared. Can you stay with me tonight? Whenever I close my eyes, I feel pain in my legs and arms. The cold ocean is so freezing.” 

Natalie asked, “Were you thrown into the ocean?” As soon as she said it, she regretted it. Murray was clearly terrified, and she shouldn’t have mentioned it. 

Murray replied, “Yeah! I dreamt about it. It was terrifying, and now my whole body aches.” He looked really distressed, as if he was enduring immense pain and fear. 

His long lashes trembled lightly. This nightmare had tormented him for a long time, and tonight, all his frustration and pain erupted. 

Seeing Murray like this made Natalie heartbroken. Ever since she met Murray, it was the first time she’d seen him so vulnerable. 

“Okay! It’s all right, I’m here with you. Don’t be scared,” Natalie said, holding Murray’s hand and walking into the room. 

Easton followed them in. He thought, ‘It is late at night, yet my wife is staying to keep another man company! He swallowed his anger and took long strides to follow them in. 

Natalie helped Murray sit on the bed, and suddenly Murray hugged Natalie tightly. Natalie froze. She rarely got this close to other men. Not even Easton got this close to her. 

Murray asked, “Natalie, are you really going to stay with me forever?” His gentle voice was filled with unease, and he looked at Natalie expectantly. 

In a daze, Natalie felt she was in an illusion. Tonight’s nightmare slowly extinguished the innate pride within Murray, making him seem incredibly vulnerable and gentle. 

Suddenly, Easton shouted, “Murray, don’t push your luck. Let go of my wife.” 

Hearing the words, Murray froze. He was confused. He looked at Natalie and asked, “Natalie, why is he here?” Suddenly, his voice became strong and loud. 

Natalie was also surprised to see the previous weak Murray returned to his normal status. 

Easton, being observant, could tell that Murray was pretending to be pitiful to get Natalie’s sympathy. He remarked inside, ‘He is such a sneaky little snake, how annoying!‘ 

He spoke in a deep, rich voice, “Natalie, can’t you see he’s pretending to be weak just for your attention?” 

Natalie turned around with a mischievous smile. She said, “No way. ‘Murray seems so scared. I should stay here with him.

Easton was slightly startled as a memory came to him. These were his words when he stayed with Jennifer. Now, the roles had reversed, and Natalie was giving them back to him. Easton felt angry and in pain. 

He thought, ‘At that time, did she feel as miserable as I do now? Without even realizing it, I have caused her so much pain. No wonder she said I could move on, but she couldn’t.’ 

Easton’s eyes focused on Murray, showing no sign of what he was feeling. He sat on the couch and said in a calm voice, “Since Mr. Spencer is afraid to sleep, my wife and I will keep you company.” 

Murray was getting anxious and lost his temper. He said, “I don’t need your company. I only want Natalie. Besides, what kind of husband are you? You’re more like Jennifer’s husband.” 

Murray still had some growing up to do; he was acting like a stubborn child. 

Easton clenched his fists. He couldn’t erase the past. He really did those things in the past, and to outsiders, he did treat Jennifer like she was going to be his future wife. Feeling guilty, Easton remained silent. 

Natalie gave Murray a pill and said, “Murray, take this pill, and you won’t feel so bad.” 

Murray fully trusted Natalie. He took the pill and kept holding her hand tightly. He was wearing light blue pajama pants. He was quite impressive–his muscles were firm, and his presence was captivating. 

Noticing the change in Natalie’s eyes, Easton knew she was captivated by Murray’s vulnerable appearance. He thought, “That damn player. I want to kill him.‘ 

Murray lay down. He nervously watched Natalie, fearing she would leave. He asked, “Natalie, you won’t leave me, will you?” 

Natalie nodded and said, “I’m not going anywhere. Once tonight’s over, everything will be fine. Tomorrow, I’ll take you to buy some stocks so you can earn a lot of money. There’s nothing more enjoyable than making money in my world.” 

Murray grinned with delight. He said, “Okay!” He felt sleepy, but he gazed at Natalie, unwilling to drift off to sleep. Seeing Murray struggling to stay awake, Natalie said, “Murray, it’s alright, you can sleep. I’ll be here with you.” 

Murray finally felt at ease. He said, “Alright!” Then, he cast a defiant glance at Easton. 

Easton glared back. His eyes were dark and cold, warning Murray to know his limits. He thought, ‘Maurice at least knows how to behave, but Murray is a total flirt. Completely shameless.
