Chapter 85
Wendy suddenly remembered something Natalie had said–in less than a year everything about her and her children would be destroyed.
So what she said must be true.
Jennifer and Jasmine have known each other since they were kids.
Wendy thought, ‘Jennifer is well aware of Jasmine’s personality. If she really cares about her big brother, she would not let him marry a girl like Jasmine!‘
Wendy glared coldly at Jasmine’s belly. “Jasmine, are you sure the baby you’re carrying is really Jason’s? You know you have many boyfriends…”
“Mom, how can you say that? The baby in Jasmine’s belly is mine. We’ve been together for a long time.” Jason angrily interrupted his mother.
Jason thought, ‘How could she doubt woman?‘

Jasmine leaned into Jason’s arms, feeling wronged. “Auntie, Jason and I truly love each other; why do you suspect me like this?”
Wendy frowned and said nothing.
Jennifer seized the moment to speak, “Mom, Jasmine does enjoy having fun, and most young people enjoy having fun. My brother and Jasmine have been together for a while. You can’t question Jasmine like that; she’s even carrying my brother’s child.”
Wendy lowered her eyes and her gaze was cold. Jason was stubborn and no matter what she said, he wouldn’t listen. “So, when do you guys plan to get married?”
If she couldn’t persuade him, then just let it go. If getting a few bumps and scrapes could help him grow, then let him go ahead.
Seeing his mother agree, Jason looked at Jasmine excitedly. “Mom, I’m about to compete! After the competition, we’ll have the wedding.”
After saying that, he eagerly looked at Jasmine. “Jasmine, what do you think?”
“I’m with you,” Jasmine replied with a gentle smile.
“Mom, after the competition, let’s find a time to visit Jasmine’s family and propose.” Jason had been dreaming of marrying Jasmine.
Wendy took a look at silly Jason who was determined to choose Jasmine. She genuinely didn’t like Jasmine. Wendy stood up wearily and said, “I’m going to rest. You guys go ahead and chat
Seeing Wendy agree, Jasmine exchanged a look with Jennifer.
Jennifer raised an eyebrow to signal that she knew that Wendy would agree.
Jennifer seized the opportunity to stir things up. “Hey brother, if it hadn’t been for Natalie and Zoe’s plot six months ago that led to a misunderstanding between you and Jasmine, you might have been married by now.”
Jason’s eyes were icy. “Hmph! I haven’t dealt with this issue with her yet and I will handle it when there’s a chance later. They’re always speaking ill of Jasmine before me, but I know the real Jasmine. If they dare to badmouth Jasmine, I won’t let them off easily.”

“Jasmine, would you like to have some fruit?” Jasmine was indeed pregnant and nodded. “I feel like having some tangy and sweet oranges.”
“Okay, okay, you sit down. I’ll get them.” Jason was as delighted as a child.
Jennifer murmured after Jason went to the kitchen, “A fool.”
Jasmine chuckled wickedly. “The dumber he is, the easier to use, right?”
Jennifer’s smile was enigmatic. “Yeah, the dumber he is, the easier to manipulate.”
Jason soon returned with a plate of fruit and peeled an orange for Jasmine to eat.
It was not until Nick returned that Jasmine said hello to him and left.
Outside, not far away, Natalie’s car was parked there.
Natalie saw Jason drive Jasmine back and thought, ‘So Jasmine comes over tonight to tell Jason that she’s pregnant. What a silly man. He smiles like a kid, unaware of the mess happening right under his nose.’
Thinking about what happened six months ago, Natalie was also angry. Jasmine set up Jason, but somehow, she got framed.
That night, Zoe was the actual victim. But no one believed either of us and only believed Jennifer and Jasmine. Jasmine was spoiled and felt untouchable.
They kept criticizing Zoe. Now Zoe was pregnant, and according to what she knew from her past life, the baby was nearly six months along.
Natalie took out her phone and called Zoe.
Previously, she went for training and hadn’t been in touch with her.
Now she wasn’t sure if she could reach her.
Natalie dialed the phone number. “Hello!” The voice on the other end was faint, but Natalie recognized it as Zoe.
“Zoe, are you okay?” Natalie asked.
Zoe chuckled. “I’m doing great and am just on vacation on a small island. I heard you left the Simpson family too.”
Natalie narrowed her eyes slightly. “Yeah! I’ve completely cut ties with them.”
“Good for you. That family is full of predators. It’s better to stay away if we can’t be taunted, right?” Zoe said with a teasing
tone.
“Zoe, we were both set up…” said Natalie.
“Oh, come on. It’s not a big deal. Don’t let it bother you. If Jason wants someone as unpleasant as Jasmine, we’ve done what we can and have nothing to regret. Let him do whatever he wants. I have nothing to do with him anymore,” said Zoe.
Natalie knew Zoe was just venting for she really loved Jason.
Natalie thought, ‘Even when Jason was abandoned, she couldn’t bring herself to wish him the worst. Now that she’s pregnant, she should focus on taking care of herself.
“Zoe, if you need any help, just let me know. Even though I’m no longer a part of the Simpson family, we’re still friends,” said Natalie.
After returning to the Simpson family, Natalie and Zoe became good friends.
