Ignoring Selena's protests, Osvaldo directly took her out of the laboratory.
After putting her in the passenger seat and settling her in, the man drove back to the villa.
The butler had already prepared a table full of delicacies, and everyone in the villa became busy as soon as Selena returned.
It wasn't until Selena sat down at the dining table that she came back to her senses. She blinked her eyes and said, "Osvaldo, I have been feeling..."
Before she could finish her sentence, Osvaldo fed her a mouthful of chicken soup. He then followed up with another mouthful, his movements precise and skillful, not giving Selena any chance to speak.
After ensuring that Selena was well-fed, Osvaldo carried her back to the bedroom. He put her on the bed, took off her shoes, covered her with a blanket, and sat next to her with a hoarse voice, threatening, "If you don't rest well, I won't let you sleep tonight."
When Selena met the man's dark gaze, her spine inexplicably tingled. Realizing that resistance was futile, the young girl obediently closed her eyes. As the hidden fatigue surged up, her consciousness quickly became drowsy.
When the last bit of awareness dissipated, a thought flickered through Selena's mind. Was he going to spoil her until she became completely useless?
Shortly after, the girl's head tilted and she fell into a deep sleep.
After making sure she was asleep, Osvaldo stared at her for a moment before quietly leaving the room. As soon as he came downstairs, the butler approached him and said, "Master, Madam called just now and asked you to come home."
Lady Lauren was very upset about this. Although the Anderson family was Osvaldo's real home, he had moved in with Selena to make it easier for her to go to school, making it difficult for her as a mother to see her son.
The butler remembered Lady Lauren's resentful tone and felt somewhat helpless.
Osvaldo lowered his gaze and walked outside. "If Madam Selena wakes up, call me," he said before his tall figure disappeared into the distance.
Osvaldo drove back to the Anderson family. Lady Lauren had expected Selena to come with him, so she was surprised to see only her son.
The beautiful woman blinked her eyes and asked, "Son, why did you come back alone? Where is my daughter-in-law?"
Osvaldo replied calmly, "She fell asleep."
Lady Lauren remembered that Selena had been staying at Capital University recently, causing her son to "guard an empty house" alone. She couldn't help feeling happy about it.
Lady Lauren waved her hand disapprovingly as she can't see her obedient and beautiful daughter-in-law, "Your father is waiting for you in the study."
With that, she left.
So in the end, the daughter-in-law is the treasure, and the son is the extra one, right?
Osvaldo didn't show any extra emotions as he walked towards the study.
Benjamin was sitting in the study, reading through some documents. When he saw his son come in, he casually lifted his eyelids and said, "This League trip won't be peaceful, so be careful about her safety."
Thanks to Constance, Selena's status as a super genius in the laboratory became well-known. Despite being in the country with the protection of the Turner family, the Anderson family, and several military regions, even those who wanted Selena dead didn't dare to do so openly.
However, once she went abroad, it was a different story.
Without the protection of the two major families, there were many people who wanted her dead. The powerful families in the capital who were hostile to the Turner family, foreign powers, and even "Divine Love"... all wanted her dead.
Originally, the members of Zone Six did not agree to send Selena abroad at this critical juncture. But since it involved the research materials left by the H Country, they had no choice but to figure out how to enhance her protection.
Benjamin didn't mention this issue, but Osvaldo understood it in his heart.
"I will accompany her personally," Osvaldo said to his father.
