Chapter 126
They could almost imagine how the people at the bottom, who had been waiting for almost an hour or so, would scold her when they went out to announce that Selena could not be there because of the car accident.
What made it even more stifling was that there was no surveillance at west gate to prove that Selena had actually been in a car accident, and with the push from that post last night, it was almost possible to imagine what kind of wave of backlash was about to await Selena.
If this was not an accident, but man-made, then the one behind the scene was lawless!
They were just about to step out of the office, but Zachary’s phone vibrated, a joy in his eyes as he picked up, “Selena, how are you?”
“I am okay, I just might be late, please tell the headmaster that I will be back as soon as possible.”
“It’s alright, you can do it when you’re healed,” Zachary sighed in relief and looked up at the student council members who had turned to him, the anger in his heart converted to motivation and he smiled, “Don’t worry, until you come back, I promise that no one here will leave!”
He hung up the phone as the group glanced at each other and lifted their steps out.
Outside, someone was already waiting impatiently in the playground.
“It’s been over an hour, why hasn’t Selena shown up? Making so many of us wait for her is going too far!”
“She dares not come, I guess.” Someone looked around at the sea of people and sneered, “She probably didn’t expect things to get so big, with so many people in front of her, if she did badly on the exam, wouldn’t her reputation get even more
notorious?”
“I told you it was a fake.” Another person interjected, “She was only pretending, when it really comes to the stage, she’s just a fool, let’s see how she ends up this time!”
Leah listened to those questioning voices, the corners of her lips curled up into a smile, then a booming sound was heard
in her ears.
“The student council members are coming out!”
