After hesitating for a moment, under Constance's fierce stare, she added, "Grandpa came back with Kyra."
Constance's face changed instantly.
...
Selena didn't wait long before Patrick came down and told her the time that had been arranged with Diego.
Selena had lunch with the Turner family and spent the afternoon reading in her room. In the evening, Leia drove over to pick her up.
"The young master is a bit busy and will be home late, but he called and said it will rain tonight, so let me pick you up, Madam Selena." Leia said.
Selena remembered the sullen faces of the Turner family when she left, and couldn't help but smile. She looked at the beautiful night scenery outside the window and thought of Osvaldo's exquisite and handsome face, smiling slightly.
When Selena returned to the villa, Osvaldo had not yet come back.
Selena didn't see Osvaldo but saw a stranger in the villa.
He was a young man between adolescence and adulthood, with a clear and indifferent face, as if frozen.
He stood in the center of the hall, heard footsteps, turned around, and his empty eyes looked towards Selena.
Selena looked at the servants around her with indescribable expressions and guessed the other party's identity.
Selena didn't react much, nodded in greeting, and walked upstairs.
Suddenly, a cold voice came from behind, "I'm sorry about Constance."
Selena stopped, turned around slowly, and looked at the young man standing on the steps.
Dante looked at her, even though he was apologizing, his voice and expression did not fluctuate. "I insisted on protecting Constance. Don't blame him."
When Selena heard this, she smiled. "Osvaldo once told me a sentence," she said.
Dante stared at her.
"A person who is rotten from the root, apart from being suppressed by force, there is no other way to stop them from doing evil," Selena smiled, looking down at Dante, "So, Dante, you must manage Miss Baxter well!"
"After all, I can tolerate her once or twice, but that doesn't mean I can tolerate her for the third time," Selena's tone was slightly cold, "If there is a next time, even if you are Osvaldo's friend and savior, you won't be able to protect her from me!"
Dante's eyes showed a faint flicker of emotion.
The servants in the villa were all a bit bewildered by the tense atmosphere.
Dante was Osvaldo's friend and had saved the young master's life.
Selena, his beloved wife, may seem gentle and easygoing, but after serving her for a long time, they had come to understand that when it comes to matters of principle, Madam Selena can be ruthless.
After speaking, Selena smiled, turned, and went back to her room.
Dante stood in the hall with his eyes down for a while, then turned and walked into the night.
Selena went upstairs to change her clothes and went alone to the training room.
She took a sword from the wall, drew the blade, and the cold, bright thin iron reflected a pair of clear eyes.
Osvaldo walked in from outside and saw his wife practicing sword alone.
He leaned against the door and watched for a moment, then walked over and embraced Selena from behind, and accurately grasped her wrist.
Selena paused, turned her head, and saw the man behind her. She smiled slightly and said, "You're back."
Osvaldo stared at the girl's face with a heavy gaze, seeming to want to say something, but not saying it.
He touched Selena's hair and said, "Selena, you should rest."
Selena was startled and looked up at the clock on the wall, realizing that it was already 11 o'clock.
It was already so late. Selena put the sword back, obediently went back to the room with the man, and went to sleep.
