After saying "good night," Selena put down her phone and went to sleep obediently.
The next day, after Selena got up and finished her morning routine, she walked downstairs and saw Patrick standing in the hall.
Selena blinked at the strange smile in the other party's eyes.
Patrick coughed lightly and said, "Selena, Principal Chow called early this morning and asked if you had any intention of being a professor at Capital University and teaching the students?"
Knowing that Selena's expertise was in mechanical engineering, Principal Chow had to settle for less and hoped that she would not leave the medical field altogether.
Sitting down at the dining table, Selena carefully considered the offer and finally said, "Eden has exceptional talent and is worth focusing on."
Neither medicine nor research was the most important thing to her.
The future of the medical community in H Country would depend on other young people.
Patrick immediately understood Selena's decision. He remembered Principal Chow's eager tone when he called early in the morning and couldn't help but feel sorry for him.
If Principal Chow and those old leaders in the medical community knew that Callum's daughter had no intention of staying in the field long-term, they would probably all come to the Turner family's doorstep to hang themselves.
But this was Selena's choice, and even though the Turner family was disappointed, they would never force her to change her mind.
Just as Patrick was about to speak, Selena suddenly said, "But if I have time during my time at Capital University, it's not a problem to teach a few classes."
She thought for a moment and added, "However, if I don't continue to delve into research, Capital University's students should be able to catch up to my current level soon, and I won't be able to be their teacher for long."
Patrick was speechless.
Although he had long known that Selena had a serious bias in her self-awareness, he couldn't help but laugh at the sight of her earnest expression.
"Selena, accounts are not calculated like that..." Patrick began to explain.
Selena looked at him in confusion, "What?"
Looking at the innocent and pretty face in front of him, it was hard for anyone to have the heart to correct her mistake.
Selena would never make a mistake, and anyone who was wrong had to be someone else!
This is probably the unified approach of all those who truly care about Selena to treat she!
Patrick chuckled and walked over to Selena, pulling out a chair and sitting down. "Nothing, I'll call Principal Chow and tell him the good news in a moment."
Selena raised her eyebrows and looked around. "Where's Uncle?"
"Father went to Zone Six early," Patrick said gently.
Presumably, he knew that Selena would feel uncomfortable staying with the Turner family while he was there, so unless it was a matter of importance, Selena rarely crossed paths with Oscar when she was with the Turner family.
Selena's eyes sparkled slightly.
Suddenly, Patrick said, "Oh, Selena, Principal Marshall just called and asked when you're free. She has something to discuss with you."
Selena nodded. "I see."
If Principal Marshall didn't come to her, she would have gone to see him.
