Reborn and Revenge novel Chapter 22

Fortunately, Dean Isabel Lane was a sensible man.

She was a capable person. After she took over the orphanage, although she was still living a poor life, she managed to get every sick child treated in time.

Angel stood at the door and surveyed it. Nothing had changed.

From the gate to look inside, there were teachers in the playground taking children exercise in laughter.

The security guard at the door noticed them and asked, “Who do you want to see, please?”

Angel smiled. “I came to see Dean Lane and deliver something.”

Alexia was stunned.

Angel seemed to know here well.

But she had only been back for a week and was busy every day. When had she been here before?

The security guard opened the door and let them in, directing them to the dean's office.

From the entrance to the main building, there was a long winding corridor, flanked by the playground, which was empty. After all, they were all disabled children, so they could not have accidents again.

There were some stone tables and benches on the side of the corridor.

Angel stopped her pace.

In front of them on the left, there was a stone table, where a middle-aged woman was feeding a five-year-old girl sitting on the stone bench.

“Lillie, you have good performance today. You will recover if you do well like this every day.”

The voice was soft and gentle, but it was like a hammer that struck Angel's heart.

Angel stumbled and clung to the railing beside her.

“Angel?” Alexia walked behind Angel, so she did not see her face had been pale, but thought she was just looking out.

Angel tried to take deep breaths to calm herself.

“Sofia, did you forget that I had a heart attack again?” The little girl, called Lillie, swallowed the food and said in a soft voice.

“No, but it doesn’t matter? As long as you have treatment, you will be fine.” Sofia said with a smile.

The little girl sighed, “It’s useless, even my mother abandoned me.”

“No, no mother will abandon her own child. Your mother must have her reason to temporarily put you here. When she finished her work, she will pick you up.” Sofia said.

Lillie looked at Sofia, “Really?”

Sofia nodded with a smile, “Of course, Lillie, every child is the mother's little angel, mother will always protect her children.”

“So, am I an angel, too?” Her eyes brightened.

Sofia nodded, “Yes, you are.” Sofia wiped her mouth.

Lillie thought for a moment and smiled.

“That is Sofia Lloyd, the wife of the chairman of The Newman Group. She has been working as a volunteer here for four years. She is a kind person.” From behind her came a low and clear voice.

Alexia said, “Hello, Dean Lane.”

“Angel?” When she saw that Angel did not turn around, she pulled Angel quickly.

Angel turned slowly and wiped her face with her sleeve, but she did not hide her tears.
