Reborn: Another Chance to Leave U by Hazel Ramirez novel Chapter 461

Chapter 461 A Sudden Change in Reina's Attitude

Reina knew most of the things that Lacey had done in the past except for

the blackmail.

"Did she ask you for money?"

Jaylon said in a low voice, "Yes."

"Did you send her to prison because of this?"

"Yes."

After answering, Jaylon observed Reina's expression carefully, waiting for her to lose her temper.

However, unexpectedly, Reina was calm after knowing about Lacey's imprisonment. Reina only said lightly, "How much did she take from you? I will find a way to return it to you."

Jaylon lied, "The court has already asked her to return all the money to me."

Lacey got more than 500 thousand dollars from Jaylon. Most of the money had been squandered by Lacey.

Jaylon had no intention of asking Reina to return it.

Reina believed his words and asked, "You suddenly mentioned her. Did something happen to her again?"

"The prison called me today. They said that she wanted to contact you. So, they asked me to send them your contact information. Do you want to call your mother?"

Reina replied without hesitation. "I don't want to."

Lacey didn't know about Reina's fake death. Yet, Lacey never cared about whether Reina was safe with Jaylon. Lacey paid no attention to what happened between Reina and Jaylon or why Reina didn't go home.

When Reina first left Canada, she always kept the old phone card.

Reina deleted the contact information of everyone else but Lacey.

However, Reina waited for a month, and Lacey did not call Reina.

Reina even thought that Lacey might have changed her phone number, so Reina could not receive Lacey's call.

In order to eliminate this possibility, Reina also asked Anaya to help check.

In the end, Reina found that Lacey did not change her number.

Lacey led a good life during that time. She went to upscale places every day and enjoyed a life of luxury.

However, Lacey forgot that she had a daughter.

Reina had wanted to break up with Lacey before, but Reina could make up her mind.

Lacey's actions this time disappointed Reina completely. It was good for Reina to break up with Lacey.

Seeing her like this, Jaylon did not mention this matter again.

After a while, Reina suddenly remembered something. "My mom must have used the money immediately after you gave it to her. How did she return the money to you?"

"Maybe she borrowed it from her friend. I'm not sure."

Reina silently looked at Jaylon for a while and did not continue to ask him.

The next morning, Jaylon went out again.

There was no one in the sick room. Only Trenton and a few people were guarding outside.

Reina took the opportunity to check the contact information on Boston Prison on the Internet. Then, she made a call.

After a few rounds, Reina finally got in touch with Lacey.

Lacey picked up the phone and cried. "Reina, didn't you go out with Mr. Malpas to have fun?

"Anyway, I can be considered Mr. Malpas' mother-in-law. I just asked him for some money. How can he do this to me?

"Ask him to find a way to get me out."

Reina ignored Lacey's words and asked, "Did you return the money you took from Jaylon?"

Lacey said without feeling ashamed, "I've already spent it all. How can I return it? Anyway, this amount of money is not much for him. Isn't it the

same?

"Reina, let's not talk about this anymore. Tell me honestly, are you having a conflict with Mr. Malpas recently? Is that why he is targeting me? You can quarrel with him, but don't put me into trouble..."

Reina interrupted Lacey. "How much did you take from him before?"

"How can I remember that? About 500 thousand dollars. What? Does he want you to return it now?" Lacey complained, "It's not cheap to find a prostitute now. Since he wants to raise you, how can he be so stingy..."

Lacey's words hurt Reina. Then, Reina said, "Do you think your daughter is the same as those women?"

Lacey wanted to say that Reina was almost the same as those women. Yet, Lacey needed Reina's help now, so Lacey said a few nice words, "I didn't mean that. I just said it casually.

"You are my precious daughter. I still expect you to support me for the rest

of my life. How can I think that you are improper?

"Why don't you ask Mr. Malpas to let me go first? I have been here for so

many days. I'll almost go crazy..."
