Chapter 96 Boast Without Shame

Anaya changed her clothes and came out. Kelton asked her, “Do you still want to go back to the private room?”

“I want to go home.” Anaya shook her head.

Kelton felt a little distressed to see Anaya was obviously tired. “Don’t worry, I will help you get back at Addisyn.”

After Kelton finished his words, he looked at Hearst and said, “Mr. Helms, could you send Anaya back?”

“Of course,” Hearst said indifferently.

Kelton thought Hearst was much better than that bastard Joshua. “Thank you for helping Anaya today. You can come to me if you need anything.”

“Alright.”

There was still a group of people waiting for Kelton in the private room below. So he did not stay long and quickly left.

Hearst drove Anaya home. After getting out of the car, Anaya did not leave immediately.

“Mr. Helms, Joshua helped me once before, and I gave him hundreds of thousands of dollars in return.” Anaya stood by the car and looked inside. “I can pay you back in this way too if you want.”

Today, Joshua threatened Anaya with the favor he had done for her, which made her very uncomfortable.

Anaya hated owing a favor.

Therefore, Anaya didn’t want to be at a disadvantage because

of such a thing again..

“You don’t have to return it,” Hearst said in a light tone.

Hearst did not want Anaya to return the favor.

Because Hearst thought Anaya could always keep him in her

mind only in that case.

Hearst knew that if Anaya returned the favor, he would lose

contact with her.

Anaya frowned. “You should have heard the conversation

between Joshua and me. What if you force me as Joshua did just

now…”

“I am different from Joshua,” Hearst interrupted Anaya. “I

won’t do anything that you don’t like.”

Hearst looked at Anaya with his eyes full of affection and said straightforwardly and seriously, “Of course, other than chasing

you.”

Anaya felt her face blushing.

Anaya thought, this man looks cold and restrained. How could

he say such shameful words so directly?

“You’d better hurry back,” Anaya changed the topic and said. “Be careful on your way.”

The next morning, when Anaya arrived at the company, she called Tim into the office. “Are the funds for the land auction

ready?”

The auction of East Boston would be held tomorrow afternoon, and Anaya needed to confirm everything again.

“The finance department has got the fund ready.” Tim hesitated for a moment. “Ms. Dutt, Mark asked me to inform you that there is a shareholder meeting at 9 a.m. for you to attend on time.”

“Who called this meeting?” Anaya frowned.

“Several shareholders did that,” Tim carefully said. “It seems that the news that you want to bid for East Boston has spread. This meeting is probably held to persuade you to give up this project…

“Do

you need me to cancel the meeting?”

“No need.”

Anaya knew if she didn’t attend the meeting, the group of people would probably directly come to her office, so it was better to gather everyone together and make a one–time stand.

Anaya was ready for a verbal battle and took Tim to the meeting room on time.

After the meeting officially began, someone soon started to make things difficult for Anaya.

“Ms. Dutt, I heard that you are going to participate in the

auction for East Boston and you plan to build buildings there. Is that true? Who will rent shops in such a remote place? I don’t agree. How can you just jump into such a big project?”

The person who spoke was Jason Leach, an old member of

Riven Group. He had been in this position since Riven Group

was founded.

The man sitting next to Jason was a man of Mark’s. During the

time when Frank was detained, it was this man who tried to

help Frank out, but luckily Anaya’s men could always find that

in time to stop him.
