"Let's have some coffee and discuss things over lunch later," Hayden suggested, taking the initiative to speak.
If he had said something like this in the past, he would have been met with scolding and insults. After all, the Sterlings had always been disgusted by him.
But now... His newfound demeanor made them feel uneasy and uncertain.
"Alright. Let's go then." Lily waved her hand, signaling for everyone to follow. At least, this was a way to show some courtesy to Hayden.
"What coffee should we have? I'll go prepare it." Charlotte offered eagerly.
"Let's go to the parlor on the second floor and have some coffee," Hayden suggested casually.
"Okay." Charlotte nodded, leading the way upstairs.
The parlor on the second floor allowed the Sterling family to rest and entertain guests. However, it was an area that Hayden was strictly forbidden from entering in the past.
Now that he was allowed up, the others thought it was a sign of their generosity.
Charlotte led the way, with Lily following closely behind. Julia and Anna followed them, exchanging confused glances. They couldn't believe Hayden had agreed so easily.
Morgan walked alongside Hayden, his eyes scanning him carefully. He still felt a sense of unease, thinking that Hayden's behavior was strange.
Everything seemed off!
Hayden should be angry; he should be shouting and causing a scene. Everything should be falling apart!
But instead, he was acting so agreeable.
Had he really mellowed out? Had he truly submitted? No, that was impossible!
