In the city's tallest five-star presidential suite, James Caldwell sat quietly on the couch. Across from him stood dozens of bodyguards in sharp suits. They were all tall and imposing, exuding an air of competence. Each of them was well-trained and formidable.
A butler, wearing gold-rimmed glasses, stepped forward. He looked to be in his 30s, which was relatively young for a butler.
"Mr. Caldwell, these arrangements have been made per the family's decision. I hope you understand," the butler said softly.
James nodded. He didn't say a word.
The bodyguards were elite specialists sent by the Caldwell family to ensure James' safety. As for the butler, he was a highly educated individual with dual doctorate degrees.
His name was Liam Solas.
After graduating, Liam had been employed exclusively by the Caldwell family, serving as James' personal assistant and business strategist.
"At the moment, your funds have been transferred, Mr. Caldwell. The next step is to focus on expanding your industries. When do you plan to head to the capital? We should also quickly get operations running." Liam brimmed with confidence, his eyes gleaming with determination as he looked at James.
"No rush. What about the two tasks I assigned you?" James asked calmly.
"The contract with the Sterlings has been initiated. Within three days, they'll incur a loss of one billion dollars! As for Victor Grant, the evidence against him is still being gathered. It should be complete within the same timeframe," reported Liam.
"Good." James nodded in approval.
"One more thing, the Sterlings are hosting a birthday party for their son. Since we're collaborating with them, they've extended an invitation. Will you attend?" Liam asked.
"Me?" James' brow furrowed slightly, his tone carrying a hint of displeasure. He wasn't ready to reveal his identity so soon.
